Title: got a couple of questions about the price of a 944 porsche
Post by: thecamokid on May 18, 2008, 10:35:58 PM
i have an 84 Porsche 944, and i want to sell it.  it is in good condition.  the front seats may need to be redone, and there front bumper and rear bumber have some pait flaking off.  it runs and drives and all that.  its a 4 cylinder motor with a 5 speed manual transmission.  im looking to sell it and was wondering what a good asking price would be and if anyone is interested.

944 and 928's were never considered "true" Porsche's to many enthusiasts because they do not share the typical Porsche body lines and drivetrain layout. Their initial cost was considerably less than the 911 and resale value is poor. Used ones dont benefit from "being a Porsche" so to speak as much as say a 911 would. In the used car market they are closer in comparison to any typical domestic or japenese vehicle. Any flaws in the car and being that it is not the turbo model wont help either.
