Title: Honda Foreman Suspension Upgrade
Post by: Moose on May 10, 2005, 05:38:38 PM
I got tired of the stiff ride, so I installed a Perfex system and it rides MUCH better now. It was easy to install also. I recomend it to anyone. Here's the link to look at it.

I enjoy my foreman much more now.

Shortcut told me about that and said it was an unbelievable change in the comfort. I'm going to sell my Highlifter  kit and put one of those on mine real soon.
Got any pics of before /after

No pics yet, but I can when I get home from work later. It made a big difference in the ride, you get about an inch lift also. Best thing I have done to the foreman as of yet.

I'm ready, only rode it 1 mile down a dirt road and back so far. I couldn't believe how much better it rode. I can't believe Honda didn't figure this out first, foremans have been around a long time.

One word of caution to foreman owners, I found oil under my quad taking it out to take pics of it after the Perfex instalation. The shift rod seal had backed out a little and leaked oil. Pulled the skid plate and found the temp. sensor wire for the fan had fallen off also, I wondered why the fan hadn't come on in a while. Well at least I didn't have a cracked crank case, and the fan should come on just fine now. Pushed the seal back in, and if it backs out again I'll replace it. Keep an eye out for this everyone.

Now for the pics of the Perfex. This is before...

Here's the front, notice the shock mount moved inwards, making the shock more vertical than it was.

Here's the back, the shocks mount has moved forward. It's amazing to me that this small amount will make the difference it does.

A closer look showing the mounting changes. You have to drill a 1/4" hole in the cross bar, but it's hollow, so no problem. It holds the bar down.

I know it's dirty, but I wanted to get the pics up asap.

I just went on a 42.5 mile ride near my house. I want to tell ya, that Perfex upgrade really made a difference in the ride. Much more enjoyable to ride now. Well worth the $90 for it.
