Title: Eastbay Race April 20 has been Postponed!! Post by: HillKiller on April 09, 2008, 04:11:13 PM The owner at Eastbay is now working with another insurance company but they will not bind coverage for an event within 30 days. We will post a new race date as soon as we secure insurance.

It may even be a bigger event since it is the only race coming up. As far as future Eastbay dates, I am working with the Eastbay owner to get the proper insurance coverage. I spent alot of the day on the phone back and forth trying to get a plan in place but it will take a few weeks to make it all happen. It the meantime, everyone who can race get out to Auburndale and support this sport. A great turnout gets us invited for more races. Dave Title: Re: Eastbay Race April 20 has been Postponed!! Ok, just some everyone is out of the dark, the Eastbay issue is that they want us to purchase a group riders medical policy to insure ourselves in case of a racing injury regardless of whether or not each of are already insured privately. Even the AMA doesn't offer that type of coverage. I have some other insurance companies to pursue, one of them I spoke with yesterday but still don't have a firm answer. That's it for now.Ward #66Q Title: Re: Eastbay Race April 20 has been Postponed!! Post by: supervcycle on April 25, 2008, 12:13:09 AM one of my riders had a speedway track in new york and he said loyds of london was the only insurance company who would give him the policy he wanted. i've heard they'll inshure anybody as long as you pay the preminum.he also said they were the cheapest too?!

Post by: HondaATC on April 25, 2008, 12:30:14 PM 99% of all the motor sport policies you get from companies like K&K, NMI, AMA sanctioning, are all underwritten by Loyds. Sometimes the companies also pay out to a certain point, and then Loyds kicks in after that up to whatever the cap for the policy was. I'm not sure if you can insure directly with Loyds...but if you can I'd definitely look into that cause you'd have the ability of cutting the middle man out.
