it all depends on if the snorkel is to wide. then you will suck too much air in and you might choke the quad and if you give it too much throttle at once it might stall or studder. I have a snorkel on both my bikes and i don't have any problems. its all up to you.

I've looked into snorkel solutions and have been told the rejetting and tuning the carb to the new intake solves most issues with the foremans

that does solve some quads problems. some can be picky on the air it gets and some don't. basically you can adjust the air/fuel mixture screw and turn it a little to give it more gas since you just gave it more air or you can rejet it. my bigbear i've rejetted not cause the snorkel but also cause i put an fmf pipe on it. my honda trx300 i adjusted the air/fuel screw and both have no problems with being to rich or to lean. checking the plug after some time of running can verify what your at.

I snorkeled my Rancher, and it was the worst thing that I've ever done to the bike. The bike ran like crap. I rejetted the carb and it didn't change a thing. Don't get me wrong, I've seen bikes snorkeled and they ran fine. I don't know, maybe I did it wrong. Anyways, If I need to go in water that deep I would've bought a boat.

I once saw a picture of a guy riding a motorcyle underwater, he had the air intake connected to the exhaust in a continous closed loop. How does that work? I bet it doesn't.

normally when you snorkle your bike you probaly will have to go to at least the next size jets and adj your spray bar to its top setting (remove top of carb.) after that you should not have any problems my 02 450 foreman 134 jets snorkle opened to 2in at top k&n filter white bros. pipe ( sparke arrested) bike has 4500 mud miles it does help improve proformance. dont forget to run all your vent lines up with the snorkle
