Title: Teen MotoCross competitor loses bikes
Post by: AmericanRobster on April 01, 2008, 03:00:03 PM
Janie PorterPinellas Park, Florida – DJ MacFarlane, 13, and his motorized bikes have been virtually inseparable since he was four years old.

Trophies and pictures of past races decorate his family’s house on the 6200 block of 90th Avenue North in Pinellas Park.

But on March 22, three of MacFarlane’s bikes were stolen right out of the family’s shed.

“Those bikes are his life,” said MacFarlane’s mother Cindy.

MacFarlane competes all over the country and plans to compete in an American Motorcyclist Association race in Tennessee on April 18.

MacFarlane’s mother thinks the thieves were after her son’s racing bikes, which were safely tucked in the garage. Still, the three stolen bikes are worth about $4000 altogether.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact Pinellas Park Police at (727) 541-0758 or (727) 544-1411.

* I HATE THIEVES!!!!! >:(
