Nothing personal, but....
Personally, I hate that place, which is a shame because I live 5 minutes down the road. It's sad that I'd rather drive the hour to seminole, the quality is just so much better.
Last time I was there, the owner liked to fiddle with the quad session. We were allowed two laps, before knocking us off for a rider's meeting, and to work on the sprinklers. After being told we would go right after the meeting, they let the pee-wee's ride AGAIN. Now I understand they did that to minimize dust, however they should have let us finish our session before ATTEMPTING to work on the sprinklers. Also, the track was horribly maintained. Rocks and ditches everywhere, and once the sprinklers were working, they OVER watered the track, creating mud holes every few yards. Not to mention the dirt they use is terrible. It's so dusty I couldn't see 5 feet infront of me! The corners are so narrow, my tires rub off the track in most turns.
I gave the track a shot when it first opened, and I didn't like it, I gave it another shot a few weeks ago, and hated it even more. I really hope whoever becomes the new owner takes what the riders say into consideration, because I have a small army that have the same beliefs as me. Untill miami mx has a major improvement, they wont have my money.

klutch you sound like the only one that is not this guys butt kisser and i really appreciate your honest opinion and could not agree with you more. to bad everyone else seems to be this guys do boy and is writing everything under the sun to make it seem like this guys the best thing since sliced bread,  by the way i found lots of dirt about this guy and his troubled past amazing how our county officials only care about the money hes paying every month and not much else 

I've heard about his "problem", isn't it "who" he wasted the track's money the reason for a new owner?

I have personally never ridden there. But am good friends with klutch and like most of the same styles of riding. I really don't know what i can say about Miami mx. Though i do know the dirt sucks and it is extremely dusty. But just from knowing how sessions are i hate it. I'd rather spend my day at Seminole which is an hour away so i can ride aslong as i want then have to sit for more than half my day waiting to ride.

klutch he got suckered by the previos vendor (pete scalzo)or as hes known scamo his past is pretty serious communicating threats simple assault on his girlfriend he sopposedly smacked her according to the police report he seems to be a hot head and i know he had problems with the guy who was there before him roger wittu,sopposedly taking pictures of his kids while they were sleeping .i dont know but sounds like dade county could have picked a better candidate

Ouch, way to go county, I guess sabotage seems like an easier way to get rid of the off road community.
Zman, I'm curious, whats your ties with miami mx? How did you know it's up for bid?

klutch there is alot of people who wont speak up cause this guy will either threten u or make u leave if he gets wind of u saying anything he dont like personally i been told then i confirmmed it thru some research online and did small background check i got to be careful he has a lot of buttkissers that act like they dont like him like #570 chris what a buttkisser yet this is one his do boys who knows maybe they get together after the place closes and swap spit i dont know. the thing is someone will definetly put this guy in his place that is if hes man enough and dont p---- out   

I hope someone new gets the contract that has the ability of turning that place into a really decent track other that what it is now. That track needs a whole new make over and has the potential of making the new owner some nice $$$$ but $$$$ has to be invested into it first

i cant believe more people are not  interested in the only legal place to ride in a tri county area. bidding starts in a couple of months , please contact miami-dade parks and recreation for info
