Title: 86 350X and 85/6 250R Post by: i58829 on March 02, 2008, 10:04:07 AM Hey guys i just wanted to introduce myslef, i've been in Fl for about 1.5 years and i just found this site but i've been over on 3ww for years. I have a restored 86 atc350x, an 86/5 atc250r, and i'm planning on picking up a tecate here in the next couple weeks as funding will allow. I'll get some pics up of my machines, i'm in the Tampa Bay area and will be most likely selling my 350X in the next couple weeks once its done so i can focus on my 250r restoration.
I was curious where you guys ride around here. I'm between Sarasota and Bradenton off University and i dont mind having to haul it somewhere but i'd like to find place i can do some fine tuning on my X before i sell it. Even like a local area thats small would be cool i can't even start it up at my place. Anyway i'll compress my files and get some pics up here a little later this afternoon. Its an 86 with a powder coated 85 frame, +3 86 swinger, lsr axle, boss billet carrier, new front bearings, sprockets/chain, new plastics, tires, itp rear wheels, K&N, aftermarket exhaust, stainless braided brake lines w/chrome fittings, new clutch and throttle cable, msr bars, lsr billet e brake block of plate, rebuilt carb, valves were adjusted and the motor is all stock, as are the headlights, tank and seat
And the 250R has a very documented build here on the site by mrbones. I also have an 85.5 Tri-Z for sale in the classified section. I'm hoping to move back north in the near future and i need to thin things out before that, i simply have too much stuff right now, TC... Title: Re: 86 350X and 85/6 250R Post by: i58829 on June 02, 2008, 05:36:15 PM i'd like to get really close to 2400 which isn't a whole lot more than all of the new parts cost. So you can figure in a damn near free machine, and most of the labor costs as well...
