THE OUTLAWS ARE SOME OF THE WORST TIRES FOR HARD PACKED DIRT.VERY ROUGH RIDING .Check out the ITP 589 OR THE MUD LIGHT

I agree with Griz, The Outlaws are the best for mud but are really rough riding on the trails. I have them 27' laws on my Foreman and have 7 chipped teeth from the last trail ride.  ;D
Go with 26 or bigger Mudlites or 589's

589s are probably the best "all-around" tire.  The outlaws and vampyres are much better in the mud but they ride like crap on the road and the vampires are 43lbs compared to the 27lbs of the 589s.

26 Mudzillas would be ok on your bike but you said you did not want a power loss. If you got a pipe & filter it would overcome the loss due to the tires.
Its tuff to recomend a tire that is awsome in the mud that will not result in a power loss to a midsized quad such as yours or mine. Not to mention smooth on the trails.
I would recomend the 589s (I prefer the Titians over ITPs due to rim guard and anti-suction grooves), Mudbugs or Swamp Witches (cheaper than the Outlaws MST yet little difference). Your bike will turn all of those fine in 26"

I'm with all of them, get the lites. Very smooth ride and pull good in mud. The 589 is also a great tire that is a little more mud oriented. I dunno if the atr will hook up in mud too good? The mst looks good but i haven't seen it in action yet but my dad is considering getting them on his polaris.

Remember that if you go with a real large and deep lug tire that you will need to accept the fact that you will go through drivshafts.  My friend has a grizzly 660 and he put 589"s with c series wheels and broke 2 driveshafts before he went back to stock.  If you are into the mud thing than I would go for the Mudlites,  but if you want a good all around tire tha ITP ATR's are awesome.  They actuully do very well in the mud but really good on the fast trail rides. If you do go way up in size plan on investing in some gorrilla axles. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I have a 450 foreman, I was told to stay with the 26" mud lites. Like said before, any larger and you will destroy the drive train. Won't eat up the horse power either. Even the larger quads have to replace their drive shafts with the big tires. I got mine at tires cheap on ebay, best price I could find delivered to my door.
What ever you get, better look at the weight of the tire and rim.

I have an '05 Kaw Brute Force 750.  How would the Mud Lites do in deep sugar sand (in an orange grove for instance) on a machine as big as mine?  Looking for a jack of all trades...sand, mud, hard pack.  Any ideas?

Mudlites or 589's would be the jack of all trades.

If you are looking for an all terrain atv tire you need to look at ITP ATR'S. They are an all terrain radial and I have them on my brute force and love them.  I ride is soft suger sand alot and they are like night and day compared to stock tires.  They really do everything well. If you do decide to go with a mud tire than the only ones that are good for other conditions are the mud lites,  But I can tell you they don't ride like ATR'S.
all those vampires, 589, etc not only ride harsh but will eventually eat your driveshafts.

Yeah I never realized how much heavier the 589s were than the Mud Lites. I have seen plenty of people turning the 589s pretty good though.
