Title: Virus threat on website
Post by: Bruteforce SRA on January 18, 2008, 06:50:59 PM
When I clicked on the "where to ride" section of the forums, I had an Ad aware virus threat pop up.  I use NOD32 and have never got a virus while using NOD32 (3 yrs.)  NOD32 was able to eliminate the threat but I just thought I would let everyone know what just happened to me..

When I mean I eliminated the threat....I eliminated it off my computer...I believe it is an advertising type of virus or spam...let me know if this has happened to anyone else

I've been using the Free version for probably two years now -- not one virus/problems.  It makes your computer run faster compared to Norton.

agreed it helps run faster than with norton, but I find I have to reinstall it about every 6 months because it goes wacko and stops updating.

but being a tech, it doesn't bother me much,,,,,however this is the reason I don't recommend it to people.
