Ok so I went got a new coil  and that wasn't the problem ..  Got a new battery also .. unclipped all the cliped cleaned them and di electric greased them ..  checked complete harness for cuts and or splices.. ..


So pretty much I have Narrow it down to either that Stator and or the CDI .....  and my question(S) are how hard is it to replace a stator ? ( if I did the clucth on my banshee could I do the stator on my kodiak ?)  

I have read lots of stuff and it doesn't seem to common for th CDI to go out so that is why I'am looking into the  stator ..  



Any suggestion and or tips would be greatly appreciated .. I'am
sick on not being able to ride and I have finally bill free for the next month ..

Like I said in the last post you can check your stator with a ohm meter. Just call rick at www.rickystator.com and he will tell you which wires to check and what the reading should be. He sells stators which are like a quarter the price you could get one from yamaha for. It should be the red/white wires check across those and the green/brown wires check across those. On my warrior I knew mine was bad because I got a 0 ohm reading on one of the tests.

If you can change a clutch this should be no problem. $200 part. I would be sure before buying. If you do disassemble make sure the crankshaft key didn't break. That would be a cheap fix compared to a new stator.
