Post by: Eworm on May 06, 2005, 07:35:51 AM
I was wondering if one you guys can help me here. I bougt an ext axle, a arms and shocks for my raptor. My question is if my arms are plus 2 can I go wider in the back? For example:

FRONT:
Plus 2: 1 and 1 on each side

BACK
Plus 3: 1.5 and 1.5 on each side

If it helps any, I have the gforce and ASR pro comps

Thanks in advance

Worm

WOW: thanks for the replies guys. This is one of the reasons I like this place. So much knowledge!!!

I guess I can leave the front at +2 and widen the back +1 on each side right?

wider axles less reliable...you can make the rear wider by changing the offset on the rims...that is another suggestion...

It doesnt hurt to run the rear a touch wider than the front. Helps reduce tail swap on the rough stuff and cornering.

If the rear is less than equal to the front, you will have a problem in corners more than anywhere else with the bike trying to tail swap.

I am running 3" in the Front and 5" in the back. I like it. The bikes way more stable.  ;D
