Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: Sand_Mtn_Spdway on November 21, 2004, 05:04:23 PM :DNext race is on the 5th of December. There was sone confusion, mainly my own, as to whether or not we were going to wait the 3 weeks or squueze another in...we are going on the 3 week plan, I misunderstood and went with the 2 week plan, so I do apologize for the confusion.
DECEMBER 5TH....DECEMBER 5TH....DECEMBER 5TH... Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: Sand_Mtn_Spdway on November 21, 2004, 05:07:18 PM Here is the best I can post for a map...the track is south of Bartow, just off of US 17. The entrance to the track is NOT on 17 however, it is on Sand Mountain Road. If you need more detailed directions, the address is 1980 US 17 South, Fort Meade, FL...type it in to mapquest and good luck.
www.mapquest.com www.expedia.com both are great travel/directions websites. Thanks Tom Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: Eruption on November 23, 2004, 05:24:51 PM Any items that we need on our quads such as nerfs and kill switches?
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: Sand_Mtn_Spdway on November 23, 2004, 05:35:03 PM The only thing required by the track is:
HELMETS BOOTS (PROTECTIVE) no tennis shoes/sandals, etc GOGGLES CHEST PROTECTORS are suggested, but not required. KILL SWITCHES & NERFS WOULD BE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, & AGAIN ARE SUGGESTED, BUT NOT REQUIRED. Any more questions, post em and I'll answer 'em as fast as I can Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: Eruption on November 23, 2004, 06:35:58 PM Thanks for the quick reply. I will have nerfs but no kill switch. Will there be a lot of practice time on the track?
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: RTR_380/450R on November 23, 2004, 08:26:23 PM There are usually 2 practices before race time!! Also there is acres of riding area to warm up on!
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: atvaltz on November 29, 2004, 04:34:25 PM its a very nice track
this week i dont think a whole lot of people are gonna show up bartow is racing sunday and the ftr is this weekend at waldo i gotta work saturday so i am gonna go sunday otherwise would be at waldo everyone come check the track out Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: RTR_380/450R on November 29, 2004, 07:28:52 PM There will be a lot of people out there this sunday because its double points. Also, not everybody is quite set up to run mx.
As far as Waldo is concerned, those guys usually dont show up for this kind of racing anyway! Gonna be a great race day. Especially when i punk down Marshall in the open expert class. If you cant beat your brothers azz, then whos can you beat. jt Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: ucfwarrior on November 30, 2004, 01:05:32 PM I think we are going to bring out the old warrior and my friends CR500 again..maybe do some racing this time..dont know what class to race though!
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: atvaltz on November 30, 2004, 01:57:58 PM hey jason i case u dont know who this is its brandon i ride the nacs ltz450 i was with my uncle phil last time we ran sandmountain i disagree with the statement the guys who race the ftr dont run sandmountain to much rick use to run sandmountain and he was mx all the way and clay runs sandmountain sandmountain is not a full blown tt track i think now that the jumps are bigger u will see alot of guys who run mx on the off weekends come to sandmountain i love the track just a very good atmosphere out there i think i am gonna run open expert with u guys this weekend doubt i can run u down though jason lol see ya there
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: redrider on November 30, 2004, 06:07:55 PM are u the one on the black ltz in the beginner class my freind was on the stock 450r he came in first both heats ;D
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: RTR_380/450R on November 30, 2004, 07:45:13 PM Hey Brandon! Would love to have you in the expert class (it means more money for the class) But you probably would be better suited for the amateur class. It would be more competitive for you. If you and that 450r that REDRIDER is talking about moved up to that class it would be very competitive.
And yes REDRIDER, he his the black ltz your buddy raced against. In my opinion they were both sandbagging a class! They should have both rode in the amateur class! But be careful~ there are some boys that can bring it in the AM class! jt Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: redrider on December 01, 2004, 05:15:44 PM ya my friends i dont think is gonna move up he mainly races the 300 but he probaly would do good on the 450 but him and his brother that ownes it need to put some pipe on it or sumtin so it would run faster for am class
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: atvaltz on December 01, 2004, 06:15:32 PM yea that was me but this week will be different if he shows up i was runnin to low of air pressure last race as to i raced dade city the night before and sandmounttain is way harder packed i got shity holeshots all day even my cousin clay jumped me out of the hole and he never gets the holeshots and then the second moto i got tangled up no exscuses from me but i will assure u this week will be different lol i give it to him for a young kid he is a good rider
jason the only reason i am runnin beginner is cause i started this series in beginner as to i had a stock 400 and i only had been racing 2 months when i started the series then we had the damn 3 month brake in racing lol but i am gona win beginner clas for the year(confidence lol) and try to win am but that class is alot tougher Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: atvaltz on December 01, 2004, 06:24:39 PM he tom i was gonna ask you when do you guyss think the points standing will be up on the website i am kinda curious to see em
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: RTR_380/450R on December 02, 2004, 03:28:07 PM Maybe hes realized that things are getting very competitive at that track and some serious quads are coming out now!!
I would like to get a quick roll call for the race on Sunday! Whos going? Whos thinking about it? Who needs info on the race, classes, etc I think they have groomed the sand drag here lateley, so that we can play a little also! jt Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: 1fastltr450 on December 02, 2004, 03:54:56 PM I cant go but I think my dad and a couple others are going to try to go.

Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: ucfwarrior on December 02, 2004, 05:38:27 PM I think me and my brother are going to bring the warrior out on sunday. Not sure if I will race. Dont know what class to race, Sportsman would be nice but its supposed to be 300cc's and under so I guess the next best option would be Open Beginner. What do you guys think? ???
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: redrider on December 03, 2004, 04:20:05 AM what i think the only bad thing about the warrior is like the 300cc and down u cant race in but open beinner there gonna have 450's and 400's the warrior cant keep up unless you got something in it but u can try to race in open beginner
Title: Re: SAND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY DECEMBER 5TH Post by: ucfwarrior on December 03, 2004, 04:53:22 AM Well, I got the stage 1 hot sticker kit and I heard they're worth at least 5 horsepowers apiece. ;D
