Title: The trip to the Holeylands should get better...LMAO Post by: JackL on November 22, 2007, 10:29:16 AM Broward County: DOT officials to discuss improvements to U.S. 27
November 22, 2007 The Florida Department of Transportation will discuss proposed improvements to U.S. 27 in Broward County from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Weston Branch Library, 4205 Bonaventure Road, Weston. Plans call for a 20.5-mile stretch of U.S. 27 to be repaved and brought up to current state highway standards from north of Griffin Road to the Broward-Palm Beach County line, with construction starting in May 2009. The state will rebuild four segments of the road totaling 800 feet that are showing signs of wear. Shoulders will be reworked. Signs will be upgraded. Bridge approaches and several areas along the stretch will be landscaped. The $18.6 million project is scheduled for completion in February 2010. -- Just as they finish bulldozing Holiday park they can close the HL's. Landscaping??? Just what 27 needs. |
