hey guys well I am building a drag bike and wanted to get an idea of what are some good 300ft times. What kind of numbers are some of you guys getting??? and on what bike?

i run a 7.4 on a modified banshee turning 22" rippers.  

I ran a 5.25 at 58mph in Valdosta 1st time i ran with a timing system some bikes were running 4.40s I have a modded quadzilla.

smokin_zilla does that mean i can run a 5.2????  HAHA

No Smoke  im guessing that 7.4 is accurate from the looks of the results. :P

Yea smokes times are probaly accurate.

I went and tested and tuned in Valdosta today, went 4.49, 4.55, and 4.57. All in the upper 60s mph.

Our stock port banshee went 4.97 today, and that was fighting a wheelie.  Got to get rid of that stock suspension, then im gonna outrun smoke in the mod class.

c'mon down and get you some........if i don't have to work, i will probably have a nice suprise in valdosta....

If you are refering to me i would be more then happy to race what are you runing on the shee?? and i hope you are talking about a real drag 300ft not a 1/4 mile a shee will take any blaster on the top end side due to the fact a blaster tranny is only capable of doing 75 or so (dont quote me on that) unless you are runing a DT200 tranny then the taller gearing can get you into the 3 dighit range again depending on your motor set up and so forth.I know for a fact I can take a piped shee with a few bolts ons like filter

Well Screw you I dont watch no tongue now I just got my motor back and its runing a 4.8 on a 300' and i havent even tunned it in all the way oh and thats with 20"s let me put on my 22" paddels and then well see lol  ;D Looks like i wont be the fastest but i shure as hell be pretty damn fast for a blaster with a blaster engine no swaps.

Please bring this 4.8 blaster to either valdosta, hazelhurst, or saltsdale, ill be at all three and i want to see it run.

I've seen some fast bikes but sorry to say I don't think your clock is right. If this is true please bring to saltsdale cause at that time you should beat most of the full mod banshees not just the average banshee! Have to see to believe, not saying that your bike doesn't do it just really really fast for a blaster!

Thats what im sayin, ive only heard of a few blasters in the 4's, and all of them are pretty worked over.  That blaster I ride sometimes has went 5.6s, thats with no portwork, so maybe a 5.3 with a pretty worked gas motor.  But who knows?? Like I said, Ill be in saltsdale, hazelhurst, and valdosta and I'd like to see it.

oh forget it then well just race for fun no money either you spill your guts or stay shut. Ill race for fun i could care less I know i am not going to be the fastest but i will be faster then most and thats all i care about.

i told you if YOU want to race for money I will i have no problem but not unless you tell me what you have because if you have all kinds of sh*t like stroker big bore port work and race gas there is no way in hell i will beat you. but if you got pipes port filter and jets i know i will give you a good as run for your money. ;D

ok ill tell ya this, my bike is set up for short oval track racing.
The motor is built similir to yours except for the cylinders.
they are billet alum (to aid in cooling) but they ARENT drag ported, (intake or exhaust). 22cc domes (pump gas), i dont need all that top end on a short circle track. Its useless.. also, it the bike isnt streched...

Still does not tell me anything really. If you ever been into the car scene you will know that when you race for money its a different game then just for fun. for fun its just a race and who ever wins , wins but when money is involved you have to be honest and state your specs both racers need to know what they are racing against. its like swimming in a pool for money.... but the catch is that you have to be blind folded and the pool is full of sharks... you wont do it if they told you it was full of sharks..... but if they tell you it is a pool of sharks then its a different game now you might or might not swim in there right  ;) come on I understand if you don’t want to tell your specs that’s why shot me a pm and lets talk I got no problem racing for money but I would like to know what I am going against.

Do you think the teams in NHRA and NASCAR go around telling the other teams exactly what they do to thier engines?
I told you all the major things. does a shiftstar really make a difference?? Its a flattrack bike so there is no need for a radical tranny or radical porting the track we run on you dont even shift i keep it in 4th the whole time.... its .30 over. of course i have pipes, CPI inframes ( i still think t-5 toomeys are better though). 34 carbs.. i think thats it.. OH its a rigid..  no shock in the rear, its hell on the ole kidneys but it sure slides in the corners.. but if you hit a big dip you will do a front tire wheelie in a hurry and thats scary at 40mph.

I ran it on GPS in a 6th gear run, if i remember correct it was like 66 or 69 MPH cant remember it was a while back but it wasnt impressive. like i said dont have a need for the top end part..

Well NHRA is not all about power its bracket racing and that’s being time consistent. And NASCAR All there cars have to make a certain amount of HP they can exceed a certain amount and there cars have regulations like all the chassis have to be the same high same width and allot of other thing but its non of those organizations are heads up race W/E you got against W/E wants to race. I guess well just have to talk in person at salts dale I will bring the money along just incase we do race if not I will still bring it incase some one else wants to give it a go.   ;)

   On a serious note,  i have a new set of maier shiney blue race plastic front,rear,and tank cover. i bought it to put on my wifes bike but ended up selling the bike, i kept the plastic.

I ran a 5.19 at 56.8 mph in Hazelhurst and A 5.39 in Valdosta.
On my YFZ450

dont worry miami it is very slow, I can beat him on a stock suzuki400  just not on a circle thack

 P.S. dont listen to fastltz2 he has NEVER beat me on the ol' circle track. His old man whooped his A$$ at the Dae City flat track last time!

one thing I don't understand is why we couldn't run race gas if you are, and once again if your bike runs in the 4's than you should be able to race built banshees and still have a chance cause that's really fast. I guess we will see cause if ya come to saltsdale and race you'll be racing us in full mod class w/ that +6. It'll be fun but I don't think you have a chance but would be cool to see. A blaster in the 4.s thats unreal thats running i want to see. not saying its not true just be cool to see. running in the 4.s is fast even high 4.s. i seen one in mississippi tricked out and it was fast i think it ran like 4.80to 5.00 flat ;D

yea those pics are pretty damn old amlmost 4yrs if im not wrong my blaster looks nothing like that now. you guys will see her at slatsdale im shure you will be impressed. :o  I know im not the fastest but im faster then most. lol

MIAMI, I was waiting to see run the banshee in Rodman. You Pm me about the 310cc kit I install on my Blaster. You did show :-/ Man my blaster is fast, but not as fast has a banshee. I guest you talk allot $HIT!!! And can’t back it up. Chris, smoke I bet you he is 14 year old. And if you think your Blaster is faster than my, I live in Miami or talk to Mike (da mtg man) I rode with him in Ocala. Blaster keeps up to the 440 he was riding. lol Thats high temp silicone I allways use it on the pipe where it meets the silencer because that thing has had a small leak since i got it new. And i got that silicone on the reed cage because that day we went riding and my reed cage bolts came loose and i had to rig up something so i can ride with out worrying about an air leak. lol what can you do when your miles away from the tool box lol you have to improvise better sloppy silicone then pushing a blown engine back home.

That website is way out of date those pic on there are all like from 4 years ago back in 01 when i got the blaster back in my high school senior years. Man I wish I was back in high school only if i knew then what i know now  ;D

BS ! I've been in the Street Racing scene for quite a few years and  big money races You NEVER Let your times get out ..  thats why the track hold " NO TIME " Races , Doesn't show a time on the board or on the person your racing slip ..
For instance I run my car on Track all Motor, YOU WILL NEVER catch me running the car on both kits , hell you wont catch me running it on a small kit  on a single stage .. I love how you throw that little bit of money on the table then pretty much back out of the race , You should know that he's not going to tell you wants done to his motor !

Who are you get out of here bum. lol If you want ill give you a wooping to and your the one full of BS when people race over here in saga bay or the L (im in south miami) people do say what they have done to the engine. They dont say 1/4 mile times but they do say what the engine has they might not spill all the beans but they say the obvious things but wont say the small for example someone with lets say a gsx will say on it has stock turbo just a boost control clutch intake headers and exhuast but he wont say that he has injectors and he wont say he has a turbo timmer or he wont say he has ported and valved head or he wont say he has dish pistons. Come on buddy I know the game ok If ware wants to run it i told him i got no problem He knows i will woop his ass  ;D but he will still try. lol hahah go to the next race day I will be there unfortionally i wont be able to make it to this one but I will be at the next.hey ware consider your self lucky  ;D that i am not going to this race  ;D but the next one you better bring these  8) because you will have a face full of sand lol

I know i have a friend with a dyno here in miami. 45 to 50hp from a blaster eng. thats pretty deep miami ! my Raptor 686 with 4,000 into the eng put out 57hp  :-/

thats fine dont take my word for it. my blaster is not putting out 50hp its kicking about 42hp but im shure i can get a little more if i went with a big bore and ran alky. I know of a guy who dynoed his blaster and came at 48hp Ill see I can find the sheet. ;)

ok this is not the one i was looking for but it is a dyno sheet of a blaster running the ct sonic bbk. I have a buddy who has a dyno sheet of a blaster putting out48.3hp I have been trying to get in contact with him but its not been easy here is the pic from ct's web site.

That ct kit consist of new cylinder, CT porting, head, piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gasket set, reed cage, intake boot, 36mm PWK pre-jetted carburetor, cable, CT Pipe and silencer. all for 1445.00 very nice price i think. you can also do a stroker,run a boondocker nitrous,run alky and run a bigger carb and i bet anything that engine will hit 45hp ATLEAST. and you still have a few more things you can do to get a few ponies on the dyno lighteing fly wheel, timing plate, increase compresion, gearing and I promise that blaster will give a bunch of banshee's a nice run for there money. I will keep calling my buddy to send me the copy of his dyno sheet till then you guy can look at that one.

thats cute but sorry no pic of my bike yet my swing arm is at the chromers and so are my a arms and the frame is at PC and if you dont belive me ask da mtg man he was going to do my frame but i told him i found some place cheaper but the problem is the guy is in new jersey so i think for the future i will just do it through mike. he buddy is that stock swing arm???? if yes then if you say you stay with mikes 450 then you must have some good as hell skills to keep that front end down I got a +6 and it still comes up on me.

nope, lean forward and gave it gas, and it was a 440 a stroke 400ex. we had fun buzzing thru 5ft trails doing 52mph in the rain. till a deer jump out in front of Mike and i almost wiped out the rear of his Quad

Well from the company i bought the cylinders and crank from they said 90 hp, i asked "is this sales hype or actual numbers??" "Give it to me straight" he said that was actual dyno numbers, so then i go a little more detailed with it... carbs, pipe, fuel, domes, ETC.. and other than pipes we were dead on with the same set up, (i have CPI inframes they used T-5's). But trust me in interested to see what MY dyno numbers are....

 Thanks for your thoughts and prayers guys, this past year has been tough on my wife. About 9 months ago her kidneys failed as a result of being diabetic since the was 4. she has been on dialisis waiting on a transplant, about 3 months ago they did open heart surgery, now keep in mind my wife is 27, 125lbs and is 5' 4". she not a "biggin" that ate to many bigmac's... once again this is from diabetes. she was called in as the back-up for another woman 2 weeks ago and was sent home... so now were waiting by the phone...again...(thanks god for cell phones). So hopefully within a few weeks she will get the call again. So if im not at saltsdale i hope you guys understand... I simply cant go that far from home.. Its really cool to see the people on this forum give thier thought and prayers...... it really means alot.. truly..

Come man look I like messing around and stuff but dont disrespect me by calling me a kid im not some 14 year old who his daddy got him a blaster and thinks its the fastes thing ever. Im actually 22 and the blaster is not my only quad I also own a trx 250r but that bike is for trails and I also own a cr250. Oh and geez if I won the lotto the first thing I would do befor spending a penny is give you a few bucks to fix up that bead blaster you got atleast this way you can keep up with me and people wont have to laugh at you when you get smoked for talking and not walking lol  ;D

mod class must have stock swing arm, or the little 2" extension is fine.  full mod and open have no restrictions.
