Title: florida title question

bought a used atv and got a signed title florida
when i transfer the title to my name do i have to pay taxes on it?

Yes. You will have to pay sales tax on whatever amount is on your bill of sale.

The transfer portion of the title should have been completed and signed by the seller and yourself. Then take it to the Tax Collectors Office and they will issue you a title in your name.

When I bought my quad we put the selling price on the title considerable less than the actual buying price. It saved me some cash on the taxes.

Thats not a good thing to put out on the internet for the tax collector (that just so happens to be on his luch break and looking for places to ride this weekend) to see. :D

Good point!!!!

So what I meant to say is that make sure that you accurately fill in the selling price portion so you pay the proper amount of taxes like I did........ (wink wink)
