It was a good day sunday for racing. Hoped everyone had a good time. Thanks to JT for letting me win in the expert class. I really needed the points. Hope Eric is feeling better for next race.

Yes it was a great day & I had a great time. Glad to some of the beginner class guys moved up & let me run up front. I think 2nd place twice in a row is not bad for only racing there 4 times. I think next time I will have to get 1st place. That 86 Honda was runnin!!!!!!!  

Had a good time & some great races. Thanks for the great track & competition out there.

Oh yea I thought I did pretty good Sunday against the competition in the beginner class with the 2 2nd place finishes but now I am being told that the girl on the yellow 250R (mrs nightbreed) spanked my a$$. Well I really don't see how that is since 1) she didn't sign up with us & 2) she wasn't even on the gas when she came down the straight in front of us.

My son missed both my races LOL .. so I dont know what planet he is on. Maybe he is mixed up because of the trophy? He didnt even watch me race either time. He said he missed it. But you ought to know better than to listen to anything the neighborhood rugrats say.I have heard some whoppers ( Kellie hates me remember that ;) ) ::)

We are coming back out 3/27 for the practice day. We wont make the next race though. mike will be in Macon for GNC and I will be at Pax for FTR. I do want to race again when I am not overlapping races. I had fun. I learned some things too. Once I figured out the pipe on the straight I did better. Too bad we didnt have another round.

Are you going to the practice next weekend or is your bike not going to be done?

It's been awhile for me, but I was planning on runnin' the last race out there 2 weeks from now. I hear that there's not going to be a race but practice on the new MotoX track instead. Hear that it's for Saturday and Sunday? Anyone know anything about this?

Yes Rob they are having open practice on the 26th & 27th for both the mx & tt track. Then they are racing on the 3rd & no the 3rd isn't the last race.

Rob, Are you going to make it out on the 3rd?  Been a while since you have been out you might wanna blow the cob webs off the 450 before you bring it. You need to talk Brandon into sticking around to give you at least one good race before he quits on us. lol. Just bustn ur ballzzzzz Brandon.

How do they work the all day practice. Do they still split "classes" or just bikes, quads, pee-wees?

Can a four year old on a 50 Alpha sport ride there? I would love to let Trent get to go a couple laps on that track. It would make his year ;) :)

I'll be at the practice Wayne. Probably that Saturday. As far as racing on the 3rd, I'll have to work. And yes, it's been awhile since I rode the bike. Almost 2mos now. Have done some things to it since you guys last saw it (Graphics kit, header pipe and jets on the way, painted a few things on her as well.)

#86 does not have a 520 nor is it bored at all. But I like that idea for #78. Maybe JT or Brandon G. could donate a little cash so we could try that. I don't think Brandon T. or Lyndon are being c o c k y either, just proud that they beat the two biggest smack talkers on this site. (Sorry guys I just couldn't resist) We are just trying to keep in the competition.

All we need is some more riders. To all those who have not ran at Sand Mountain Speedway you are missing out on all the fun and people there. Thanks to all for some great races and personalities.

It looks like I may NOT be going.  The other day a guy on the forum came over to give me a hand in jetting my bike for my new exhaust.  Well the bowl screws all stripped out so we drilled them out and finish jetting it. Now we couldn't put it back together because we didn't have any screws so he was supposed to come over the next day.  Well he got busy and couldn't make it.  So I went ahead and finished it myself.  After working for many hours, I got it all back together and tuned.  It rode great.  Then last night I went to take it for a spin and every time I turn the handlebars the engine revs up.  I can't figure out where the throttle cable is grabbing at but if I don't get it fixed tonight, I won't be going.

ok man bring it out i will look at it i guess u need one of these boys from the woods  to get that bike running right for ya  bring it out ya just got the adjustment to tight  or cable not routed right bring it out take a few minutes to fix

id@...How much did what run me?  The jet kit was like $60 but I think it would have been worth it to drop it off at ATP just to have it done right.  I mean, I don't think they could have messed up jetting my bike and I would have had it back in two days.  It has now been about 3 days.

There will be a few guys out there that can jet your quad and sort your cable out! Brandon is pretty good with a Z, because his chit is always broke!!! And he works on it quite often! ;D

yea bring that thing out there well get it figured out. we will bring the pit crew lol   u dont need to pay some ATP place 150 to jet your damn bike  sh*t  my dad tought me how to jet when i was like 8 years old nothing to  it just common scence  and patients  i repeat patients lol what i lack alot of lol  thats why i am always fixing my bike cuz i take a hammer to it   lol

It wasn't 150 just to jet it. It was 150 to jet it (including all jets needed)and switch out pipes and install killswitch.....BTW your throttle cable problem is common and VERY easy to fix. Call me and I will tell ya how. You can do it yourself in like 2 seconds....

Also, I asked earlier an everyone is so into nuts talkin no one answered.... Do they let pee wees practice on open practice days?

They should let pee wee practice like let the pee wees practice then the bigger quads but i dont no for sure

We are trying to get out there on Sunday, but we have to get some things together to be able to go :-/
 If we do we will be bringing the kids and I want to make sure they can ride or it will be a LONG day.... :P

Practice is going to ran like the races this weekend. They are going to separate the classes. Mikey don't worry about the bike we will take care of it. You saved yourself some money so be happy. Don't take it to a shop unless you just can't do it. Jetting we can do. Ida you just keep taking your sheot back & forth to the shop.

we will not put the little ones with the faster machines I wont be there tomorrow but they will practice by class as always if you dont like what you see let us know we will fix it. if we cant all have fun then we wont do it THANKS

The personel at SandMountain Speedway are like none other that your used to.  The great people and are open to all suggestions and comments.  They're hard working people just like us and are out there because they love it and have fun!  Dont be suprised if you get the idea that the WOMEN run the show out there!!! I was out there one Sat. before a raced and camped out.  The women were working on the fencing and track until dark!  They put alot of effort into making that place a fun place to go!  So if you've never been then this weekend is the perfect opportunity.

I will, it's all a matter of worth,,,,,whats your time worth and do you have the place/equipment to do the work youreself.  I don't, nor do I have the knowledge, my knowledge is of other things.

so, bottom line, if you got the place/equipment/time to work on your own stuff, and don't mind screwing up, or stripping bolts(which I might have done), then by all means, do it yourself.
