~thanks yfzkid

Title: Re: four wheeler friday at sunshine
Post by: 53yfz450 on March 14, 2005, 05:57:09 PM
if your going to ride trails to id just leave it stock because the 450 is pretty wide. the only bad thing about sunshine is that its so tight. that makes it fun in a way trying to find the fastest line to clear the jumps.and is also challenging to pass people.

Hey guys,
Raptor350's dad here. The track is not measuring for decibals.
Of course, don't bring it up and you won't have any problems.
Sandy is trying very hard to make things happen for the quads and i appriciate all of you guys being interested,it has been a lot of fun on Fridays cause it really works out to being about 2 to 2 1/2 hours of straight track time with a national rider available for advice and help if needed-It has been said that this track is not quad friendly and when i brought this up to Sandy her reply is "i can't help if they don't show up!",she really likes it when quads are there cause it fills the bleachers more.If you are coming from the north get to tampa and follow the directions(it is the easiest way)and if you are coming from the south use St pete directions.I would really like to see all of you guys start racing here with my son so we can build this track up and get it our way!!Seriously-Sandy and everyone else at the track are trying hard to make eventful for quads-t-shirts,quad trophies and plaques and giving away free practices for a year and lots of other things-so let's get together and make this a real home for us to ride at!!

Again-thanks for the Friendly times with my son on this site-i really appriciate you guys and hope to meet all of you soon-if you have questions give me a call(727)458-9403-Toby

The kids that showed up last Friday could not stop talking about it-they were like going crazy about getting on the track and doing laps with their dad-it was cool to watch them enjoy it so much!!
Good Luck on getting your quad back together and hope to see you guys on Fri.

Even if i cant race that series i can get all the practice in and race the next series ill see what happend rather race in the winter though becasue its not as hott.

What's up,

My name's Andy... I was out there this past friday and it was awesome. There were only like six bikes there... but we got to ride as much as we frickin wanted for the whole 3 hours... I got in some serious practice time.
I won't be out there this comin Fri... but the week after that... I'll be there.. as for the track... its pretty quad friendly. Like Raptor350 (?) said... you can roll any of the jumps that ya want. It's not the widest track... but in a way that adds to the challenge and makes it a heck of a lot more fun!....

Later guys,
               - Andy

were you on the kfx400 if you were you should think about racing the series your pretty good. the track has now changed the jumps are alot more fun and challenging.if your not coming out friday you should race sat.

thanks and hope to see you there,
                                   jake

(p.s. we need more quads so try to stop by on race night.)

Title: Re: four wheeler friday at sunshine
Post by: Godsman27 on April 03, 2005, 03:02:18 PM
yea,

I've raced a couple of times like 2 months ago and because of school and everything haven't been on the bike in a while. Yea... I was on the KFX400. It was alot of fun.. .i'm just trying to get back into it... i need to get back in shape and everything lol. But it sucks cause I won't be back on the track till not this weekend but the weekend after that...
But, I will definitely try to start racing on sat. also. We do need more quads tho... definitely.
So what is the track like now?

Title: Re: four wheeler friday at sunshine
Post by: 53yfz450 on April 03, 2005, 03:09:26 PM
it goes the opposite way. that really big double is now a step up but i think its just a table and that triple is now a double or triple but that might change and there are two doubles in the back were that one small double was (the one i cased really bad and blew my bead out) they are now makable. i still need to get use to the track the jumps are you either make it or you case it or you can roll them but i feel stupid rolling it so im just going to start jumping.

Title: Re: four wheeler friday at sunshine

See ya there,

yeah his name is jerry (the stock bike w/yoshi pipe)  he took a big spill off the step up to the table jump, not quite sure what happened I just seen his quad tumbling.  He was knocked unconsious(sp) breathing really hard and unresponsive but before the ambulance left with him he was trying to talk and respond which was a good thing.  You always wanna just get that last jump in before you load up.
I think he will be ok but real sore, toby will post us an update later on jerry.

I did not see him crash...I was still on the track, but I hope Jerry is doing ok...I felt so bad for him just lying there on the ground not moving. :(
I just met him that night, but he seemed like a real nice guy.

That was my first time there on a friday.  8) Next time I should have 2-3 more friends going.

Dad here(Toby),
Jerry really appriciates all of the support and help everyone gave him and his girlfriend on friday night,he was surprised and thankful for all of us who helped out.He is a little sore and swelled up in the chest and legs but other wise ok.No broken bones and no concusion,They did do a cat scan and found nothing.Thank you to everyone(especially mudd's wife)You guys are all the greatest and i appriciate all of the support for Jerry and the track.I wiil keep everyone posted.
He said he might be out Fri. night at least to watch but maybe to ride.
The bike sustained minimal damage for the the tumble it took-
only bent the bars and either the rim or axle(just a hair). That's one tough bike!!!! ;D
Again, thanks to everyone for helping out,we also want to thank Radney from BurnoutBarn.com race shop for storing and helping fix Jerry's bike and maintaining and sponsoring Raptor350's bike!!! ;D
Have a great day and hope to see all of you again this Friday and all the ones to come!

My schedule sucks... seems like I finally get a chance to ride... and then it's another two weeks of things that keep me from being out there. Sorry about missin last friday. I won't be there at all this weekend either. But next week it's on again.
Heard about the whoops. That's the one thing that sunshine hasn't had for a little while. Tell me what they are like... also... Raptor350... do you have a s/n i have some other questions. If ya do you can either just write it on here or send me a private message. Thanks dude.

Hey guys,

Well, just found out that my parents aren't going to be around tonight. And I'm only 17 so I guess I won't be riding tonight.
But, I've got some good news. Last fri. the track asked my dad to do some photography of the other riders out there instead of just me so that everybody could get some pics and stuff. So he did and those pics are finally on the web. go to... http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?ArrangePhotos  - they should be on there... if they don't show up... let me know!

Later,
      Andy

hey i was there with the 52 inch. wide raptor 350. i wasnt riding due to my collar bone.yes they are shutting it down. >:( next friday will be the last one. they said its because we didnt have enough people. i think 14 quads is a good turn out. i will not be there next friday due to famoly plans but you all should bring as many people as you can to change there mind please let this work this is our last chance. we have diff. people turn out every friday if we can just get them all to come out at once that would be great.

there are to many othere reasons also that me and muddbuggy know about i just dont want to wast my time on it. if i were you i really would not come the track will probably not be groomed or nothing. im tired of sunshine they dont like quads. they ran them off before then we managed to get them back and they ran them off again so im done im off to bartow. all they care about is money. and they know the diff. in money between dirtbike and quads. >:(

im coming down the end of june so in about a month i cant wait. So the other practices nights do you have to switch back and forth with the bikes? maybe this friday people will convince them to keep 4 wheel friday i hope so i was really looking forward to that. How far is bartow away maybe when i get down there we can go to race there.

Like I said before, I'll try to get some friends got go there, but about Bartow, do they open on friday nights for practice?

i dont think bartow is open on friday for practice they have this new schedual. and yes you have to swicth on and off with the dirt bike on other practice nights. maybee when im healed we can get a group ride going on to bartow on a sunday or even a saterday if there is no race. that place is great.

check it out at bartowmotocross.com. they have lights now so thats why they changed the schedual.

they have this other really cool thing that you can do where you can lease the track for $150 a month per rider and they give you a key to the track to come any time you want. ;D now that they have lights sleep all day ride all night. [smiley=ThumbsUp.gif]
