Title: carb spitting gas?? need help Post by: bigwake on October 15, 2007, 05:10:54 PM just put new/used carbs on my banshee..they run great..my problem is that when the gas is on, the right carb spits gas out like a fountain out of the yellow drain line near the swingarm (the lowest line on the carbs)..why is this? is it the floats? waht could it be? any ideas would help..thanx

The needle valve's inner spring is likely varnished and sticking causing the overfilling of fuel in the float bowl. The valves can be cleaned, though I replace them to avoid a customer "come-back" at my expense. Sometimes cleaning will not restore them to working condition.
