Title: Outlaw TT Money Race, Saturday Nov. 3rd. $1,000.00. RACE RESULTS ADDED!
Post by: fastrnrik on October 15, 2007, 06:38:26 AM
Saturday, November 3rd, Thunderbowl Speedway will be having a TT money race. This will be an outlaw race and will not be AMA or ATVA sanctioned.

There are several pro and pro/am riders from the TT nationals coming down for this race. There are also several riders coming for all of our other regular classes such as Vets, Youth, Intermediate, Pee Wee, etc. There may be some additional classes added as well.

There will be two Open/Pro classes. OPEN and PRO PRODUCTION. Both classes will pay out, but the Open class will have at at least $1,000.00 to pay out.
The Open/Pro Classes will cost $50.00 per class to enter, and will have 80% payback in both classes.

There will be another Adult Mini Quad race.

There will be at least one knobby tire class.

There may be and additional Flat Track money race as well, stay tuned.

There will be no points for the Thunderbowl Maximum TT Series at this race. The points race will be re-scheduled.

Maybe I am not reading this right. Is it 1,000 pay out for the open class or is it 80% pay back. I might have to try this one out.

I've had several questions, so here's a few details for clarification.

The ONLY TT classes that will pay out are the OPEN and PRO PRODUCTION classes. These classes cost $50.00 each to enter. The payout for both classes will go from 1st through 3rd place.
The payout is based on entries. The OPEN class will have at least $1000.00 to payout, regardless of how many entries there are. If there a large number of entries in the OPEN class, then the payout will increase. The PRO PRODUCTION class will be a straight 80% payout, based on the entry fees.

Definitions:
OPEN CLASS- Any bike, any frame, any motor.
PRO PRODUCTION- 4 stroke only, engines not to exceed 450cc, factory frame with production motor. No Hybrids, big bores, prototypes, 2 strokes, etc. This class is for the 450's.

We will have ALL the normal TT classes also, as well as some new/different ones depending on turnout. All other TT classes are $25.00 per class, and are for trophies only, no money. There are NO points for the tracks points series.

Racing times will be posted tonight. We will be starting earlier than normal to keep from being there all night.

What are the normal laps for the race.  I will be in the knobby class.  Also my son will be on a stock ltz250 running in the knobby class will he run with the larger bikes if no smaller bikes show up or will he be in the kids flat track quads?

There are supposed to be some pretty good youth riders coming.

We'll have to see what the turnout is.  I would much rather see your son with kids his own age on a bike that size.

When he did the flat track at Eastbay they put him with the kids that were set up for flat track.  Anyhow we will be there this Saturday providing that it does not rain.

If you want to race one of the money classes, then the CRF450 hybrid will be an OPEN class bike.
If you just want to race, you can run the hybrid in whatever other classes you fit in.

I heard you were the biggest keyboard racer here. Are you gonna make the race?
You must know that feeling

Well, I wasn't referring to you.... so thanks... and no I cant Quad race until December...
Its hard to be a racer and run the entire SFTL organization.....
Oh and dont forget I whooped you at the AMA race..  ;)

Because there wasnt enough people in the Vets class, remember... thats why we lowered the age from 35-33 was to get more people in that class so there would be a class.
One thing people seem not to understand is I was often a field filler. Keep in mind, I raced novice, Interm, and Vets at one time or another back when the fields werent as big as they are now (during the same season).. Open class has ALWAYS had enough bikes, no need for me to fill in there. I was never racing for "the points" but rather to have a racing organization, which we have never had before.
I seem to get picked on for trying to start classes for people to race in. (go figure).
I would have liked to have made more of the AMA series races but they were weekday races...
AND HOLD UP!!! DIDNT YOU RUN VETS TOO?...  :-\

Dave is planning on making the money race, I have to replace the head studs this week.....

Now that I have had time to think about it there were very few races you finished in front of me. And yes I did run 2 races in the vet class and I was man enough to move up to open and run with the big DOGS
Don't forget you are not in your part of the forum you don't have the power to lock or delete the post in here. Welcome to our world. Time to grow up.

Dang Wayne!
Whats up with the hostility? I was just talking not getting rude... Time for me to grow up? Like the comment you made to me on the SFTL banquet stage last year? Or when we found out you were Tbowls little spy by you being a SFTL official then PMing other track managers league info...??  Or maybe when you would call me asking me to give you boy points he didnt deserve!  I have no clue what I have ever done to you to talk to me like that but it will be the last.

"US" got a mouse in your pocket?

1, Bullsh1T

2, We will "talk" next race.  Guarantee, if I had something to say to your face I damn sure will. Bet your ass on it.  At least you dont deny being a snitch and giving up league info.. Did you know that got us kicked out of Tbowl at one point? Im sure your fellow racers will like to know that. I knew you were a piece of crap but I was out voted. looks like I was right...  What a back stabber.... ;)

3, Well talk about that too and if you want to do more than talk... Im game for that too...

Now im done internet battling, we can talk at the track, or you can get my number from your side kicks..

Not only that think what all the kids around there would think of it. Not wanting to stick my nose in it but chill out guys. Your both my frinds so dont make my take you boys behind the woodshed myself !  :cursing.gif :wink.gif

I hear ya Tim, Im just tired of him disrespecting me. Ive been dealing with him for over a year and today was the last straw. Ive NEVER said or done anything to him but yet he keeps pushing. Ive kept self control for a long time trying to be the nice guy and have got stepped on because if it, even after his comment as he walked past me on the stage and even after he got the entire league kicked out of Tbowl. Now the third time is enough...  Sometimes someone needs a smack in the gums to learn a lesson,
and schools in!! We can head down the street if he likes but ive had enough of it.

Damn, I come home from work, and WTF?. At first, I thought it was a joke, but as I read on, it appears you guys are serious.

First and foremost: The only thing that will happen at Thunderbowl on 11/17/07 is some good flat track racing. That's it. If there is ANY drama, we will bounce EVERYONE involved. I don't need that sh!t at my place. There will be no fighting, cussing, arguing, hollering. You guys are grown men, not 16 year old kids, so shut up already.

Second: If you girls have some year old beef that you want to work out, call each other, PM each other, meet up up at the corner, hell start a new thread, whatever. Just go somewhere else other than my TT thread. There's people from all over the country coming to this TT race and reading this to get race info, so I don't appreciate you two dix hi-jacking my thread with this childish bullsh!t.

Oh, and Tim, to answer your question: Gates Open@11 am, Practice@ 1pm, Racing@ 3pm

I do believe I offered him to call me....
But he wanted to keep it going.. It was civil until post #40 then I clued in that he was being an ass not just pulling my chain...

I agree, it shouldn't have been on this thread, but if you read back I clearly said I wasn't talking to him and WAYNE kept the fire burning... What am I to do?? let it slide again?? I think I have been PC with the banquet, and the Tbowl/league issues. I kept my mouth shut, but as I said.. this was the last straw.

hair color helps you win      i guess yours is pink because thats what most little girls like   but when you see this ladies leave the line i hope you have plenty of color in your hair because you going to need it

Dont worry racermom I have nothing for you fast guys. Shute I am still looking for my 1st victory. I change my hair color hoping to win, didnt help. Oh well I will be there tring like my mom told me to do. lol

Yes, there will be a knobby class.

And Yes, we have a class for 400's. It's called the "Sportsman" class. It's for 16 and up with a 400 cc limit. No 250R's, LT250's, or Banshee's unless they're BONE STOCK, pipes and all. It's basically an adult class for 400EX's and Z400 size bikes, since there's a million of these bikes out there, and it's not really fair to run them with the 450's. I thought it would take off, but it hasn't been very popular. If there are at least 3 guys with 400's that want to race we'll run this class.

HEY! WERE GONNA MAKE IT TO THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!! No crap, Im serious this time. Not one of our bikes is remotely set up for anything other than big MX so it will be very interesting. I told POP that I was going to race. But becuause im about to have cervical spine surgery, he told me that he would take the new big hammer than he has and beat my bike to pieces if I attempted to race. So, You boys get off lucky this time around. ;D

Little brother will be out there and we want to watch the race.

And I swear, IF you two retards fight at this track in front of my kids. Ill beat both of you down, because Im bad as hell and know it.

Love you both. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :-*

i was a spectator for the first time at tbowl and i thought it was a great show and was run great. as a racer yo could tell the track cared about the racers and the track.

i would like to see a afternoon tt races like the one yesterday that did not conflict with the ssqsa or dade city mx schedules s racers could have the best of all worlds.

if the promoters wold work together it will only help the sport grow.

if i can change my daughters b-day party i will be there on DEC. 1
when i come back i will bring min. of 3 tt racers

once again great show and hats off to the race track for a job well done.

It was hard to watch and not participate!!!!!! Its good that I couldnt race anyway. I feel that I can be competitive, but would have definately been outclassed last night. For those of you that think you saw some good racing last night- YOU SAW SOME UNBELIEVABLE RACING. Your average person might not realize it but there was some serious talent there last night. Any one of those boys could compete in the highest levels and probably do.

Awesome show guys!!!  Top notch crew!!! Very well done!!

Wayne- Hope your alright. Hope the pain pills came in handy!!!!!
Quad- Good to see you last night. You were riding well but caught a few bad breaks with the restarts.

get yourself some of those soccer type knee cups that velcro around your calf, maybe that will help out if you get tossed again. I found a pair at OAS for $2 bucks. They sure keep the bruises away that I used to get from my knees slapping the tank in the corners. :)

I sure thought I had them all covered  but that leaky head just didn't quite make it. I can't wait for redemption. Bud put on a good ol Florida whoppin pickin them off one at a time in that flat track heat. Next time the money stays in the deep south! ;D   Anybody heard any plans on a second money race?

Thanks for all of the positive comments. I still don't have the score sheets. I'll get them today so I can post some race results.
The racing out there was unbeleivable. The guys that came down are all top ranked, heavily sponsored pro, pro-am, and "A" class AMA national riders.
It is hard to put into words how great our local riders did against these guys, especially when you consider we've only run TT what, 5 times? I think Bud has raced TT twice?

ALL of the local riders deserve props for the job they did.

Here are the race results:
My descriptions don't really do this weekends racing justice. ;D

PEE WEE BIKE
1st- #8 Logan Simms
Logan was the only bike. He ran with the quads and did just fine!

PEE WEE QUAD "A"
1st- #5 Harry Elliot
2nd- #03 Levi Seay
3rd- #77 Kyle Norris

PEE WEE QUAD "B"
1st- #03 Levi Seay
2nd- #6 Merritt Webb
3rd- #96 Alisha Cabana
The Pee Wee classes are always fun to watch. Little Levi, who just turned 5, was a handful on his little race prepped 50. Harry ran great and scored a win. Merritt, Kyle and Alisha did a great job as well. I love watching these kids race.

YOUTH QUAD
1st- #92 Jon Cabana, Yamaha Blaster
2nd- #21 Justin Palmer, Suzuki Z400
3rd- #7 Austin Akers, Honda 400EX

YOUTH QUAD- KNOBBY
1st- #42 Tyler Stopowenko, Suzuki Z250
2nd- #67 Daniel Norris, Honda 250EX
The Youth class was ran together. Their were 10 bikes on the track without a single problem, which is quite an accomplishment. Some great racing out of these kids as always. Tyler and Daniel both did a great job in the youth knobby class as well.

NOVICE QUAD
1st- #9 Brooks Williams, Honda 450R
2nd- #27 Paige Cowell, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #89 Arielle Raveling, Honda 450R
Our Novice boys were busy racing in the Open classes, so our ladies took care of business in this class, as well as their own. Paige actually won the first heat. Both of these girls are no joke, and could beat half the guys out there.

LADIES QUAD
1st- #89 Arielle Raveling, Honda 450R
2nd- #27 Paige Cowell, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #72 Lisa Cabana, Yamaha YFZ450
Man, the Ladies class is getting faster and faster! Our normal fast ladies were in for a surprise when Arielle showed up. Lisa ran extremely well and won the first heat race, but it was the Arielle show for the other two races. Oh, and did I mention she was on a completely bone stock quad? All three of these ladies are extremely fast. Our other local fast lady rider, Lauren, was conspicuously absent though....

VET QUAD
1st- #11 John Main, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #3 Justin Bucklew, Suzuki LTR450
3rd- #7 Randy Dinkins, Yamaha YFZ450
These results are for the Vet "B" class, I will post the results for the Vet "A" class as soon as I locate the score sheets. I know Scott Sheffield and good 'ol Quad 32 were bringin' it in their races.

INTERMEDIATE QUAD
1st- #123 Michael Blanchard, Honda 450R
2nd- #5 Shannon McClamrock, Honda 450R
3rd- #9 Brooks Williams, Honda 450R
This class was a North Carolina sweep. Don't feel too bad, our Intermediate riders were racing and beating some of the pro's in the Open classes. ;D

KNOBBY QUAD
1st- #999 Marshall Todd, Honda 250R
2nd- #69 Geno Stopowenko, Suzuki LTR450
3rd- #122 Dale Wright, Polaris Outlaw
The knobby class keeps on growing! Some good racing in this class, even though their tires have those funny bumps on them...LOL

PRO-PRODUCTION TT- MONEY RACE
1st- #27 Brad Riley, Honda 450R
2nd- #25 Chuckie Creech, Honda 450R
3rd- #3 Jeff Green, Yamaha YFZ450
This race was set to be awesome  race since Chuckie and Brad both won their respective heat races. However I don't think they expected to be pressed HARD by local rider Jeff like they were. He was literally glued to their grab bar turn for tun, lap for lap, just waiting for them to make a mistake. It was some AWESOME racing for sure. I should also mention local rider Dare Rambo came in 4th ahead of pro riders Garrett Jackson, and Giovanni "Big Air" Colon.

OPEN-PRO TT- MONEY RACE
1st- #27 Brad Riley, Honda 450R
2nd- #32 Bud Chancey, Honda 450R
3rd- #25 Chuckie Creech, Honda 450R
This was another AWESOME race. Chuckie and Bud WENT AT IT for most of this race. It was some unbeleivable racing to watch. Bud was pressing Brad HARD for the lead, with Chuckie right on his tail. I don't think anyone even breathed during this race. Garrett Jackson followed up in 4th, with local riders Gary Sisson, Dave Bohnstadt , and Wayne Palmer rounding out the field.

OPEN-PRO FLAT TRACK- MONEY RACE
1st- #25 Chuckie Creech, Honda 450R
2nd- #6 Travis Edwards, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #32 Bud Chancey, Honda 450R
This was a race that was totally up in the air. Chuckie Creech and Garrett Jackson ran well in their heats, as did Travis and Kirby Cooke. In the second heats the track had come in and Dave Ware and Dave Bohnstadt went straight to the front on the high powered 2 strokes. Engine troubles knocked both Dave Ware and Dave B., and several others out of the main, which left Chuckie, Bud, Travis, and Brad to go to war. These guys didn't disappoint. They traded positions lap for lap at over 75mph. These guys were Bringin' It!

Well, the track was great, the weather was awesome, and the racing was fantastic. There were right at 120 entries in 16 divisions, so it did take awhile, but all in all I think it went well. There were a couple of minor crashes, but no ambulances or helicopter rides were required.  All of the racers who were visiting from out of town were great people, very positive & helpful, and want to come back and race again. I think they were kind of expecting to come and just walk all over the local riders and take our money, which I think to their surprise, was not the case at all. All of the local riders should be proud to have run so well against these very fast guys.

Thanks again and see ya next time.

Now if I can only get over my son saying, "I have a bigger trophy"  >:(  (He actually beat some of the kids with the tt set up)

I truly did have a great time out there, almost want to go and buy some real tires and a sway bar  ;D

120 entries, that's awesome, all that time and effort paid off !  Our boys, Scott & Austin were happy to see that many kids in the Youth class, maybe we can keep that class filled up.  They had a blast.  Can't wait until next time  ;D
