Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: Chillinthemost on June 06, 2005, 11:15:11 PM
Alex, bring em and race em. You will be racing other 400s, and the raptor will be in the 0ver 401 class against other raptors, 450s, kfx 700s, ds650s, etc. Your probably not going to come out and win your first try (you would have to beat me) but its always a good time and the mod and open class is really getting fast.

Kinda funny you say that smoke when you did not even win your own class ;D ;D ;D

And as for seat time, what happened to those 4.20s you ran ???  Also, we dont have to work on our bikes all month just to get it to run decent at one race.   ;D

I dont know if we're coming or not, its not up to me.  Time will tell... Im still wondering if smoke will ever race in GA...

Do I have as much motor as you??? According to you I have about 4mm more ;D  Funny you think your bikes faster when I played with your bike all the way down the track when Jerry was riding it, and everyone said Jerry could ride better and faster than you. :)  Its ok smoke, you still win a race every once in a while, youve been beating our stock port bike by about a length, o wait, thats in 2?? ft, I wonder what would happen in 300???

And about the hair, I got it cut, thats about 5 lbs of weight right there, so Ill be getting even faster ;)

I have a question about the races. We are thinking of taking some Raptors out there and see how we do. In the open class, do you race Banshees and 4 strokes?

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: Chillinthemost on June 07, 2005, 02:54:37 PM
In the open class, its just that OPEN. Stretched swingarms, alcohol, nitrous, etc. I havent seen a Raptor that would want to be in that class. You would prob run in the over 401cc 4 stroke class unless of course you are running nitrous.

Where does a Turbo raptor fall under? As well, where does a Stroked Raptor fall under. I guess we will race in the 401 and above class

I would have to say you can run the turbo raptor in the 401 cc and up class...we will see how the results go, then go from there...stroked raptor would be in the same class....chillin has been the man in that class for a couple months...

SMOKE,

WHAT CLASS WOULD A BONE STOCK BANSHEE BE IN (STOCK PIPES, ETC)?

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: Smoknbanshee on June 20, 2005, 03:23:49 PM
ewww...that is a hard one, we have not had many out there....we have had a few with minor mods that have run in the mod banshee class.  if we have a few banshee's bone stock we can run them a class. if not we could possible make it a triple elimination for the stock banshee and double for everyone else...that creates more effort from me, but i am just a due boy on race day anyways, so that is cool with me...

Theoreticaly speaking, what if someone was to convert a dirtbike into a three-wheeler, and race it. What class would it be in? The machine would probably be stock cylinder, stock main frame, extended swingarm. No alcohol, no nitrous, none of that funny business. I'm gonna guess, the full mod class? Just wondering  ;)

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th

sounds to me like full mod class....

cut - is the orange crush coming?  is there going to be anything there to compete with it, or is it going to scare everyone away?

haven't even rolled the old smoked express out of the garage since last month, so looks like it might be another trick riding show...

Great racing today.  The best kids racing we have ever had.  Thanks to everyone that came out.  chillinthemost, cutngrs, quad32x, yamahondaman, fastltz, ware racing, atp racing, hondalittleman, sisson family, naples (BAD A$$) banshees, hoghead, and all the other people that i did not mention, great to see everyone.  If you didn't get to see the naples banshees, you definelty missed out, cause them there boyz had it going on.  VERY IMPRESSIVE.

Kids Class - 14 kids today, and they all had a blast, best racing of the day.
1st - Paige Volker
2nd - Dalton Volker
3rd - Trent Walker
4th - Little Man Corne
5th -Shelby Watson

400cc less class -
1st - Gary Sisson
2nd - Christian Jankuhn
3rd - Doug Fogg

450cc and up class -
1st - Little Man Corne
2nd - Jerry Corne
3rd - Matt Watson

2 stroke mod -
1st - Jason Watson
2nd - Billy Golightly
3rd - Smoked Dog

2 stroke open -
1st - Jeff (Naples Banshee)
2nd - Chris Ware
3rd - Troy Volker

Hope everyone had fun.  Hopefully by next month we will have the track stretched 200 more feet.  Needless to say we have run out of shutdown room.  Sure would of been nice to see how that triple or Underpressure would of ran against the naples boys cause it would of been some good racing.  See you guys next month.

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: methyman on June 25, 2005, 05:19:52 PM
So Smoke is the track going to be 300 feet instead of 200ish?  Then we would be able to see the bikes that  pull on the big end for sure.

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: Smoknbanshee on June 25, 2005, 05:24:17 PM
currently we are running about 250 feet...we backed the starting line up 15 feet, but we had to shorten the track 15 feet today, cause the track was hooking and the bikes were FLYING....we hope to stretch the track to 300 feet and then have about 450 feet of shutdown....

by the way, look out for the little man on the honda 450.....

Title: Re: Saltsdale Sand Drags June 25th
Post by: methyman on June 25, 2005, 05:56:13 PM
If the track is going to be 300 feet then the GA boys are going to like it. Thats what there used to running. I only ran 300 feet once at Ortona, but there wasnt much room to shut down.

Post by: tribal_shee on June 25, 2005, 10:27:49 PM
methyman, try to get the ortona crew back up. If they extend the track like they say it will be good racing. The salts regulars bikes are a lot faster than last time you guys were there.
Cut, I'm glad to here your bikes running, mine will be really soon! I'll tell you what though, you could have your bike on alcohol in Ga and you still will get smoked. I'm telling ya, you guys haven't seen fast yet. Them bikes up there will eat those 535's for lunch. But then again those boys in the outlaw class up there are running 600cc and up!  Hell one ran a 3.78 at like 90mph. That's insane in 300ft. we can't comp. with that. Only class we can run really is 4.60 class and that is actually pretty d**n fast, but it's awsome cause theres about 40 bikes in the 4.60 class so it's not like your just racing each other. There they call you by # not name, but maybe one day salts could be that way too! See Ya! ;D

naples guys were real nice...oh about the GA boyz spanking the 535's, well i talked to the naples boys today about going up there, so hold your breath...covering my class, well had some technical difficulties and learned a valueable lesson today...the track conditions can change, it is a matter of whether you can change...the track was hooking hard later in the day and i had too much gear...since i actually do all the bracket setups, i didn't have time to change sprockets and stuff...we will see you in hazelhurst, it looks like we have about 10 coming up...billy golightly - sorry about the name man, i changed it....i am still in school, so bare with me guys....methyman - it would be great to see the ortona boyz again, they would have some competition now...fast250r, them there boyz you sent up hurr were RUNNING...alright i just got home from riding in ONF, so i am going to bed...later guys...oh and we had mcig finally at the track in the cheerleading section....that a boy..."POP THE TOP, CAUSE IT'S 5:00 SOMEWHERE"

cut, i hear ya man, some fast shiot! the track record was set by the triple and broke by a twin. Them bikes up there look like rockets. Whats cool is theres probably about 15-20 of them up there if they all show up. I'm sure this next month is gonna be smoking cause I'm sure that triple is going to be trying to take back record, and Tim Mills is really fast too. We saw him in Deland He's got some sweeet bikes and fly too. How bout it Banshee-Boy tell um whats up !
