We went out to S M's MX track Sunday and it was awsome. It is the best track that i've rode so far (i've rode Bartow, Sunshine, Dade city). The track was groomed that morning i think and the riding conditions were very very nice. Sometimes the straight aways were rough but non of the jumps had any eneven lips on them.if you like to ride big tracks SandMountain is a good one. Just my opinion.

i know its not the best track all i was saying is that i liked it. I know that others are probably better all i was saying was that Sand Mountain had a really good track for just starting out. thats it

who is bartowmx#3 anyway i am lost ?? does everyone know who he is but me..

well how about my opinion on the sm mx track,,,, well alot of guys i know have ran it and alot said they wont run it again i dont have to big of a problem with it.The track to me is to do or die  more for the dirtbikes not very quad friendly i dont know when you rode it but when it gets busy and there is alot of dirtbikes those faces on the jumps get pretty bad i dont care if it is gatborback,or whatever  you throw  alot of dirt bikes on it your gonna have uneven faces .
just my opinion bigs jumps are not a problem  but jumps you have to hit in 4th and 5th gear is a little crazy most national track you never have to hit a jump in more than 3rd gear..we are not planning on racing  that track as to like i said do or die one mistake on that track and you will be hurting

An anchor is it?? Now that's funny. I really don't know why anyone would want a faster quad unless of course they was riding a yfz or maybe one of those antique R's. [smiley=laugh.gif]
I hope there are several quads being fixed up for Sand Mountain and they have the nerve to ride in the expert class. #86 will have a new front suspension and a couple other goodies on it. But I think it might have a tough time keeping up with #78 so build them all as well as they can be built and let's put them on the track and have some fun!!!

But seriously let me tell you about Bartow Mx  (Nate)  he's got the skills and has every chance of being a pro-am maybe even a pro rider one day... this is just from what I have seen in the past few months of riding and helping him learn. In fact I'm gonna help him all the way.  So you won't hear me talking smack. He's not slow by any means, he's beat me once already.

To me, no doubt the Thackers are the guys to beat. They made the best bike improvement of the year in my opinion. THAT THING CAME TO LIFE!!! Hell it even made Brandon ditch that crappy a$$ed Susucki to try and outrun them :-/. This upcoming series is gonna be "Very interesting".

Dude, you really have me afraid now. I think I'll sale my quad, my car, and my bike then shut myself in the house for the rest of my ENTIRE life :-[... I'd really hate for you to come down here from Ocala and go back all swollen. Just wouldn't be right. No problem w/ giving credit where credit it due. I've told JT many times that he can ride his arse off. But I have seen him get his Arse handed to him a couple of times as well. He wasn't riding his bike, but it was handed to him non the less.

I  looked  at  the  mx  track  and  it  looked  good.  Im  sure  it  gets  rough  with  the  bikes  on  it  after  awhile  though. ;)

As far as the MotoX track. A few of the guys told me that they rode it last week and they were goin' down like flies. That track does beat you up pretty good. I thought that they were supposed to make a bypass on that front stretch? I don't think that the quad races will be all that packed due to the track not being all that quad friendly :-[.

You're exactly right Brandon. Peeps are scared of it. The thought of losing control mid air on an ATV is not something many of would want to happen. The roughness of the track doesn't bother me at all. It's just some of those  jumps to me are a bit too much. I wanna race... but at the same time I'm not trying to go out there and bust myself up and can't go to work to pay my bills. I may race Lakeland tomorrow or try and get in on Bartows series? I don't know yet I'm new to this MotoX thing. Hey, won't you and Lyndon race out there this w/e?

I want to race either Bartow tomorrow or Lakeland Sunday.  For some odd reason i thought that lakeland was last sunday so we got up at 6 and left at 7 only to find nothing but empty space at Quick Track >:( but that was totally my fault. anyways i hope to race a mx track this weekend.

You going to the practice tomorrow in Lakeland? I'm thinking about racing this w/e. Probably won't decide til I wake up late in the morning.

I 've decided im going to bartow tomorrow night then the awards banquet on sunday for sm. So i cant make lakeland this w/e :'(

The mx track is open on saturdays and sometimes on sundays they have a schedule at www.sandmountainspeedway.com come see how u like it

What happened?

Just had some problems had a rim bend and air leaked out on lyndons quad and i hit a tree and busted a tire. But i didnt like the track so much

Hmm, Give me some details on the track. We're supposed to have a group ride there on the 4th. From the pics that they have on the website it looks pretty quad friendly. But they do change the layout for every race :-/.

Well after me and kid went its not that quad friendly ya, you can hit all most all of the jumps but its really slick and the corners are really tight from the dirtbikes just doing one line. And watch out for trees lol I hit one and kid almost hit one sooooo, id rather go to bartow or SM but its an alright track i quess.

Thanx for the details. Myself and quite a few others are going there for 4th. Guess we'll have to make more lines for the quads ;D. I can deal w/ that, but rutted up jumps... I can't deal w/.

Went out to Bartow today. First time ever riding that track.Was clearing all of except for 2 doubles. Was landing on the top of those. Only got to run 3 sessions b/c my hand was beginning to blister pretty bad in the palm. I gotta get some more gloves and grips :-[.

whenever you go to lakeland try to go early to beat out some of the dirtbikes because they really tear up the lips. There is no real big jumps but some of the landings are rutted and thats what i didnt like. I didnt clear as many as i wanted because of the lips and landings.
Try to go out there early. Let me know when your next group ride to a mx track is and ill try to make it.

o yea u said u practiced today at bartow and on their site it says wed-thurs. Just wondering because i was going to try to practice tomorrow.

What trees we have 60 acres with about 4 or 5 trees. the only track close to trees is the biginner track

I think he was talking about Lakeland NOT Sand Mountain.

We were out there Yesterday (Monday). They were open for Memorial day. Yeah Kid, we're gonna go over to Lakeland on the 4th. Hopefully it'll be alil better than it was on your visit :-/.

3 - 4 guys coming from Tampa, Wayne (Rode black Raptor) w/ us at SandMountain is coming from Orlando, About 5 guys are coming from up around Apopka/Leesburgh. Those are the ones that I know of. Were there anyother quads out there they day you guys went?
