Title: Halloween at the Motoplex Post by: Paul_S on October 11, 2007, 09:15:59 PM Our feature weekend for October will take place 26th - 28th.
Admission is only $20 for the weekend, that rate applies if you come on Friday or Saturday and is good through Sunday. Come on Sunday only, the rate will be $10. Camping is free. Kids under 5 are free, kids 5 and over, but below 12 are half price. Gates open at 10 am on Friday, you can ride all the way through to Sunday pm for $20.00. Some of the highlights of the weekend will be: An escorted night ride/BBQ that will start around 7pm, we will eat BBQ (food will be optional and for an additional cost) at a nice spot in the park and then continue riding. Last month our ride ended with us sitting shooting the breeze in one of the lakes at 12.20 am and was a blast. Earlier in the day Saturday, we will be having a 4 event race (even though there are 5 events ;D) We will each form a team, we are having a 300' drag race, a timed mx series, a timed one way fast trail leg, a timed leg around the Ute Xtreme course and a timed mud/water race. 1-5 riders riders per team. If you are super talented (and have different style bikes) you can enter yourself in all the events, if not, find some friends to compete with. If you just want to compete in 1 or 2 of the events, just post something here, I am sure we can match you up with some guys looking for people in all the different events. $5.00 per person/event, winning team takes all. I got the shed mostly finished that I needed to do today and it only needs some dress-up items now, so the next step is to clear out a 6X12 enclosed trailer that us full to the ceiling and pack before Thursday morning because of class Thursday night, then a weekly meeting at work on Friday morning and I'm out,,,,,,or I may just ditch the meeting. Unloaded the bikes and enjoyed the low 60 deg. morning, took a few laps on the one way trails, and did too many laps on the mx track :Dead.gif, we loaded back up at around 3:30 left got some food and made it back to Oakland Park at 9:30pm. Overall a nice place and we had a blast. Thanks to the man that had the mx track nice and groomed for us when we got there :Clap.gif! Cant wait to see some pictures.

Every time I go out there I can't wait for the next ride!!!! Great group of ppl an amazing place to play. Dreth, Paul, Matt and everyone else who helped groom the trails and get everything ready thank you so much! Dreth thanks for the hot showers!!!! Those were awesome after a long day of playing. Team Yamaha represented and won most of the events if I recall right. Team Can-Am aka Team Gordon Fisherman your bikes were incredible in the mudding and sand drag events. Very impressive. Yunt as usual showed us just what Team Pull-aris is all about w/ a DNF (did not finish) in the mud drags and needed a tow out. Thanks da!sy and John for stopping to help the Cliff's out and ride home w/ everyone. Mav thanks for driving the truck that last little bit so I could get a nap. You're a life saver. I wasn't sure how I was gonna finish that drive home. I can't wait for the pics!!!!
