Title: Brake Pads- OEM vs. Others
Post by: jayd on September 25, 2007, 12:06:58 PM
Brake Pad Question.
I am wanting to replace my brake pads, 3 sets 2 front and 1 rear, I can replace them for $90 dollars from the OEM (orginal equipment manufacture)or I have found another full set for $45. Has anyone had any experience with replacing brakes with Sintered Metal Brake Pads.
Yea they may be cheaper but will i be replacing them again in a year?

According to the manufacture of Sintered Metal Brake Pads- these brake pads are designed to withstand highly abrasive conditions. You will get Maximum performance along with great durability. They are perfect for all types of off-road riding. Sintered metal cuts through the film of water that forms on brake disks in wet conditions for exceptional wet weather performance and will perform with little or no brake fade.

I have used a lot of different brands of pads. I think OE ones are better than aftermarket. I race so I'm hard on my quad. The Honda pads seem to last a lot longer.

I use streamline brake pads with no complaints.  They are fairly expensive though.
