Had to go through and read all 28 pages of the Rodman Ride post for my answers so hopefully, these will help all others with the same questions...

keep in mind these were all taken from other posts..so don't hold me to them in court

What: RODMAN DAM TRAIL RIDE IV
When: Saturday January 22, 2005
Where: Rodman Dam
Meeting Time: 8:00am
Group Pictures: 9:00am in the pit
Estimated Distance to the 88 Store VIA Eureka Dam: 35 miles  
Estimated Distance back to Rodman Dam: 30 miles

Palatka, while not as large as Ocala is only about twenty minutes away from Rodman Palatka has several motels:

miscellaneous:
do i need to register?
no, just show up
Any fees?
no
food?
if you ride to 88 store, there is food and fuel there
Fuel?
most say that everyone can at least make it to the 88 store. Refuel there. If not, a few will probably carry some extra.
Helmets?
Helmets strongly encouraged but not a must have in order to ride
Tandem Rider?  
Not illegal, but could be uncomfortable for long/full day’s ride
Orange Visibility flag?
Not a must, but always an added safety feature
Goggles?
strongly encouraged

Can you ride out from the Elite campground?
No U have to trailer in and out of the campground

who to contact to add onto Rodman Ride list:
Redgrizzly660@aol.com  (Grizz, I only put this here because you had it listed all over the rodman forum)

You can camp at lake Delancy and ride to Rodman dam from there.
Palatka is only 14 miles from Rodman Dam

Directions from south florida

Take I 95  North to Ormond Beach (Exit 268 ) go west on 40 to 19 north to to Salt Spring (Elite is on left)

From Miami I-95 is the best way. Take it about 270 miles to the FL 40 exit west 35 miles to Silver Springs to FL 19 go right about 30 miles and there will be a sign on 19 directing you to Rodman Dam. You will pass Elite Resort Camp Ground at the 15 mile mark on SR 19. Use Map Quest if you need more detail and enter in the address of Elite Resort. Rodman is 15-20 minutes from Elite.
