Title: Re: Bought a new/old car Post by: CABLEGUY1 on September 04, 2007, 06:51:23 PM Not sure the year but I remember seeing one recently at our local u-pick that looked like the same body style.Would you like me to see if it's still there the next time I go and if it has a good left brake light lense? Let me know.

Let me know. It actually needs both but im broke right now and will be broke for who knows how long. Im gonna build the trany... I figure why not build it right. Performance steels and frictions and a shift kit. Title: Re: Bought a new/old car Post by: AmericanRobster on September 04, 2007, 11:05:42 PM It's in really good shape.

Took it to school work and to the store park it. then on the way to mcdonalds with my sis she starts Knocking like a mofo.. So since i couldnt just leave the car had to limp it home i open the hood to pull as much timing as i can and see oil down the side of the block. Blew the Head gasket... galled a piston pretty good.... So the motors out and torin down... i was gonna rebuild it with some high comp pistons and such but right now i cant afford to do that so im gonna pick up a used 258 or 232. Ive got 2- 258s lined up for 200 but im still in the market havent bought one yet. And since the motor was out i figured why not clean and paint the engine bay... Bad piston (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/piston2.jpg) And they all have this I think its a casting mark. (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/piston2chip.jpg) Before (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/CIMG1225.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/CIMG1226.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/CIMG1228.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/Engine%20rebuild/CIMG1227.jpg) After (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/engine%20bay%20painting/CIMG1257.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/engine%20bay%20painting/CIMG1262.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/engine%20bay%20painting/CIMG1261.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/engine%20bay%20painting/CIMG1270.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i173/hankhizzle/73Hornet/engine%20bay%20painting/CIMG1263.jpg) Title: Re: Bought a new/old car Post by: KD 428 on October 09, 2007, 05:45:01 PM dang....
