Sounds like you got the funnest weekend, I never fished there, only did work there(ripped out & installed/sanded & finished hardwood floors) on the 3-4 story condo's(newer looking) near the pass (South Bch./ LIGHT TOWER, near the old oil tanks).

How's the fishing around Little Gasparilla Island ? Thats the one w/ the old rail road tracks & you put your car/truck on a barge & the tug boat pushes you across to the island about 100 yards(there use to be a bridge there made outa heart pine (wooden) I do work there also but never seen anything there, but I was like in a little bayou or bay & just figured there just wasnt nothin in the water, seen alot of prop marks on low tide though, probably a bunch of fish in the passes though.

Im going up to Alsaka for the week

Wheres Alsaka, I use to have an Alaskan Malumute dog named Bandit, he loved going camping.

I think I'll take my 65' boat to Bimini. It only takes a half an hour since it has has six engines and does 100mph on the water.

That will give me plenty of time to ride after getting my six lobsters. I hope I don't forget the charmin this time.

Snook is the only fish I fish for, I can't believe people use to not eat them(throw them back) they were called soap fish 'cause they tasted like soap, untill somebody skinned it once & they were like "man this is good".

I never played a game of golf in my life though, people say it's pretty nice to be out on the course, I think it would be funner on a quad.

Never heard that name for snook. I have a sea bass/grouper in my fishtank someone told me is called a soap fish, he does look a little like a snook, a baby one I guess...?

You mind if I tag along? I think you will need the extra weight in the john boat so it will slow us down and make it look competative!  ;D

Little gasparilla is good for fishing. I think it's some of the best in the state. We stay on the south end of the island and you can't get a car there. Gotta go by boat only.
