Title: Wow Post by: Young Gun on August 20, 2007, 07:37:07 PM Back to school for one day and I am already sick of it. I honestly don't blame kids who want to drop out, school is a hassle now a days.
For one, my schedule was all screwed up. Even after going in during the summer, sitting down with my guidance counselor for probably a half-hour, and making sure it was going to be correct and stay that way. Did it? Nope. I was ensured Drivers ED. Didn't get it. I was ensured Digital Design I. Didn't get it. Then I look at my schedule and I have 3rd lunch... what the hell? We used to have a 4th,5th,and 6th lunch. Due to the crowdedness they had to add another. So now I'm eating "lunch" at around 9:30 in the morning. Yayyyyy.. Yayyy.. NO. After that I go to the rest of my classes, which were the few correct ones. The final bell rings, and I go to get on the bus. Noticed we now have a fancy air conditioned bus, which was cool.... so I thought. The year before we still had an old clanker that had no air, was nasty on the inside, and was WAY over crowded. It was so over crowded we had three to a seat and some were even sitting on others laps. I mean I'm not complaining when a blonde has to sit on your lap, but when a guy does... WOAH NELLY. So with the new bus I was thinking now it wont be as overcrowded... wrong again. All of the new freshmen had taken over. It was worse than the year before. We had a new bus driver in training, when it was time to go she had no idea how to get the bus in gear, so we sat for probably 10minutes until she figured out you have to move it to "D". When we finally did get going she drove probably 10MPH in a 30MPH zone, and hit the brakes constantly. The A/C unit for the bus was above me and every time she took a right water would pour onto me... and at the same time the A/C wasn't even pumping air out. I got out of the bus and I could have sworn the Florida Heat was cooler than the inside of the bus. I'm sick of it.... SICK OF IT FYI I go to Springstead High in Hernando Co. [/RANT] Title: Re: Wow Post by: k.p. on August 20, 2007, 08:24:04 PM lol i hear ya dude

Title: Re: Wow Post by: quadracer1992 on August 20, 2007, 08:26:56 PM Man I got the same problem. Our bus is so overcrowded, 3 to a seat, no ac. Its disgusting, its like all these taxes our parents pay, and for what, so they can build golf courses but can't give the schools enough funding to get some more decent buses? And my bus the ac, when we do get a bus with ac, sprays water on every turn, the kids are all loud and obnoxious, and the rednecks spit their dip all over the floors, its awful. The worst part is the kids that will sit one to a seat, and will say, no im saving it for someone, its like, first come first serve, thats the way it should be. These buses suck, this school and half the kids in it suck.
Title: Re: Wow Post by: quadracer1992 on August 20, 2007, 08:28:53 PM ..oh but the scedules are awsome here you get all the clases you want every time.

If you got into your car to go to a fast food place, he would give you money or depending who you are have to give him some food and he wouldn't report ya. I know how you guys feel about school, I felt the same way when I was there. The teacher makes a difference too.

I hear ya, my sophmore year we could drive over the curbs, by my senior yr. it was chain linked off. Best advice I could give someone in school nowadays is to TIGHTEN UP/ SUCK IT UP & It willl be over real fast, make the best of it(save your parents a lot of $$$ & maybe you can get a Scholarship, thats all you can do. You'll be done w/ School(WHICH IS COOL) a lot sooner THAN YOU KNOW. Whoa KB we can't be setting a bad example for tommorrows youth, but man I miss the parties!!! ha ha Title: Re: Wow Post by: Sleazy_Rider78 on August 20, 2007, 11:03:47 PM I promise all you kids in school that once you get out of school, and you have bills to pay, and have to deal with a pain in the butt boss, and work long hours......you will wish you were still in school. Make the most of it because you will only go through it once.

College just seems like you have to think to much.
Title: Re: Wow Post by: Young Gun on August 21, 2007, 03:04:02 PM Just like how most of you guys said you would trade work for high school, I would do the opposite. I cannot wait to be out of school and on my own.
Today at the start of 4th period I got called down to the Guidance office to talk about my schedule. I wait until 6th period to see my guidance counselor, which was about 2hours. I finally get to see her and I'm there for about 45minutes trying to figure it all out. Turns out I cannot take Drivers ED since there are no other electives open and I need another to switch. So after waiting patiently for 45minutes and her typing on her computer, I said f**k it and left. Going to go enroll in Nature Coast which is another High School in the district. Its brand new and has an automotive class. Springstead is neither. Anyone thinking of enrolling their kids in Springstead High School, DON'T DO IT. Worst school setup ever. Title: Re: Wow Post by: 94Hardbody4x4 on August 21, 2007, 03:11:22 PM I beg to differ. Vero Beach High School is the worst. This year EVERY class except for English classes are in portables. Last year we had 3,500 students in a 60 year old building made for 1,500 students.
I'm just glad I graduated before this. It's a trailer park with no senior privliges. Title: Re: Wow Post by: Young Gun on August 21, 2007, 03:13:47 PM I beg to differ. We have 10new portables out by the practice field and at where we call "trailer park city" on campus theres probably 20. Still overcrowded. Title: Re: Wow Post by: mudmonkey on August 22, 2007, 04:19:53 PM i know what u mean... me and my friends (juniors and seniors) sit in the back of the bus, and today all these freshmen were sitting in our seats! i was like...umm no. dont think so....they are NOT sitting there tomorrow ::) my classes r ok...but i have my 1st pd and 2nd on the opposite sides of the school, and then 3rd in the main building (closer to 1st pd), so i tried getting 1st and 2nd switched, but the guidance people said no b/c we "have 6 minutes in between classes now so we should all be able to our classes on time, no matter where they are" (last year we had 5 min) STILL...HELLO?!?! 1 more minute doesnt really change much!! :-\
Title: Re: Wow Post by: quadracer1992 on August 22, 2007, 04:34:49 PM actually my bus is not crowded almost everyone gets to sit by themselves its awsome!!!
Title: Re: Wow Post by: Young Gun on August 22, 2007, 04:37:23 PM i know what u mean... me and my friends (juniors and seniors) sit in the back of the bus, and today all these freshmen were sitting in our seats! i was like...umm no. dont think so....they are NOT sitting there tomorrow ::) my classes r ok...but i have my 1st pd and 2nd on the opposite sides of the school, and then 3rd in the main building (closer to 1st pd), so i tried getting 1st and 2nd switched, but the guidance people said no b/c we "have 6 minutes in between classes now so we should all be able to our classes on time, no matter where they are" (last year we had 5 min) STILL...HELLO?!?! 1 more minute doesnt really change much!! :-\ Lol our school is so overcrowded with freshmen, it seems that if one freshmen goes in a room, that when they come out 8 more follow lmao. I love freshmen though, all frantic. "Do you know where this room is!? Was that the bell!? What do I do!? Help!" lol. Best part is that every freshmen in our school is worried because all of us upperclassman have been talking about Freshie Friday.... which doesnt even exist :D. We were telling them how we bring paintball guns to school and shoot them, throw them in trashcans, give them a swirly, that mumbo jumbo. Some of them are actually frightened, when we told them about it they had a worried expression. I think its mostly cause you see that kind of stuff on TV shows. The only bad thing we do to freshmen is push them in the halls. But they just stand there mindlessly and talk. Today when 5th lunch was getting out me and a friend just pushed through this huge group of freshmen, knocking over at least three. Some think thats a bad thing, but thats what happened to us when we were freshmen. I also love it when freshmen give you lip, LOL thats a funny thing to watch. Title: Re: Wow Post by: GrizzlyGator on August 23, 2007, 06:47:46 AM and the rednecks spit their dip all over the floors, its awful.
