Title: KIDS SECTION IN RESTAURANTS???

I'm thinking it would be a good law. Now that there's no smoking sections anymore. I think it would be a great idea, especially in bar and grills. Nothing like relaxing in a bar-n-grill drinking a cocktail or beer with a baby screaming in your ear. I also love when they crawl up on the booth next to you and start grabbing your hair with there parents acting like its cute! >:(
Just wanted to know what everyone thought or if had a interesting story or experience to share?

It's a good idea for people that want privacy. I tell my Daughter not to bother people when their eating. Some parents can't control their kids.

i'm all for a special kids section for families.  i use to go to a bar and the kids would play tag running around the place grabbing your table as they swung themselves around the corner.  it was irritating and like trx stated the parents thought nothing of letting them run loose.

or when you go to eat a nice dinner and someone has an infant screaming.  i know it's not the childs fault.  however, the problem is when the parent doesn't get up and take the child out side and take them for a walk or sing to them.  they leave them there to sit and scream.

or ppl w/ toddlers that don't have the attention span to deal w/ a long adult dinner.  and the parents don't bring crayons or other things to keep them entertained quietly.  so they stand up on the chairs, or slide under the table and sneak off only to come up next to or under your table like a dog begging for food.

or if you're in a bar and the parents get all pissy b/c you are using bar language in front of their kids.  i wouldn't use that language at mc donald's or at chucky cheese.  but it's bar language cause hint we're in a BAR.  DUH?  so the parents are ready to swing at ppl for behaving like an adult in an adult situation.  rather than seeing that they brought their kids into an adult situation.

or parents that sit and get drunk and stay late and the kids are sleeping at the table.  and someone has to drive them home.

i'd be happy to have a family area in restaurants.  even waitors don't like waiting on tables w/ kids.  they have to work harder for fewer tips and the kids a lot of times leave a larger mess.  i shouldn't have to have a chicken nugget on the floor under the table i'm eating at.

OK here it comes. I'm ducking cause I'm about to get blasted.  Please remember I'm using examples of some of my experiences.  I'm not saying all families are like that.  I have also been out to restaurants and gone over and complimented the children and the parents for their behavior.  Duck and cover here it comes!

Couldn't say it better myself!!!!!!!!! ;)
One day when i have children, I would not appeal to sit in a kids section. I would perfer it, do to if my child gets loud I now that I'm in a section were its exceptable. Then when we get a sitter and my wife and I then can have a peaceful dinner out too.

hahahaaaa..that reeeely sux! but the idea about kid's section is awesome! one time i was on a plane and this little baby wouldn't stop crying and these kids kept yakin and yaking that some guy shouted as loud as he could : "give that baby some whiskey and shut those damn kids up!"..basically the plane errupted in laughter..except for their parents..hahaa

Yeah a kids section would be nice..doubt most places would put one in though..my thought on this as with any other discussion involving kids or any other rule/law breaker is this...we seem to always want to do something to the kids not the dagum parents or the rule/law breaker who are really responsible IE: NOT wearing helmets, riding machines that are way to big for them, acting up in resteraunts etc., what happens in all these cases THE MAN comes and trys to run our lives..making laws cutting out our liberties and such, then were all punished for somebody Else's lack of _________!

Most people have the common sense to know if you go into an "Alehouse or Bar and Grill" there will be Children in there during the day. After 8-9 PM Children usually are not allowed around the bar. However if you feel compelled to use Bar language around children regardless...You have issues.

I do think that some parents treat the Restaurant as a damn daycare..and they let the kids run loose with no regard for anyone else. They should be asked to leave.

In my years of Bartending , I have turned at least 10 couples away from my bar for trying to prop the baby on a stool in a carseat @ a SMOKING Bar.....I have little patience for that.

If you got kids you go to chucky cheese, not the sizzler. Most these people know that there kids are terrors are they still take them out anyways. It seems like people are getting more and more disrespective, only thinking of themselves.

Maybe all you people that don't have kids should be sterilized and dropped on an island somewere
so that all you people can stop crying so much. You all sound like a bunch of cry babies yourselves :'(
All of you that don't have kids don't know what you are talking about till that day you are blessed
with your own kids. The most well behaved kid will act up from time to time and it is not always the parents fault.

Spoken like a true breeder.  No need for sterilization I wouldn't damage the world w/ my offspring.  I have enough common decency to the reast of the planet to not procreate.  Besides it'd probably be Tyrone's crack baby anyway.  They I'd have to go on Springer to find my baby daddy.

It's a bar you moron.  If you don't want me talking like that in an adult atmosphere then don't bring your kids there.  I wouldn't go to chuck e. cheese or any other child oriented place and speak that way.  Besides isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.  I know the type of language that is used around children in different circles.

Oh, and it's a blessing if you want them.  If you don't then it's called an abortion or adoption.  Duck and cover the breeders are about to spray me w/ their special sauce.  Not everyone wants children.  Some of us just enjoy being aunts and uncles.

well, i have kids and I WANT A SECTION I CAN SEND THE YOUNGINGS TO!   ;D

Hell, my kids are pretty well behaved....they know they act up i will whoop some arse....however, if you are at a bar where people are drinking like that....you need not bring them.  I must admit, my oldest knows how to throw darts better than most people (lol) but when it comes to the adult scene and kids the best bet is to get at sitter.  "specially if you are drinking"  HOWEVER......like i said....i want a section to send the kids to eat by them selves on the OTHER side of the restaurant at ALL eating establishments....hell, i would tip big for that!    ::)

yeah this coming from a guy that thinks everyone around should change b/c he was dumb enough to take his kids into a situation that was inappropriate for them.  who's the one lacking in class?  think again sunshine.  i don't do things around children that are inappropriate.  no need to... ppl like yourselves do it anyway.

I don't go to restaurants where most ppl would take their kids.  I prefer a little more high end places if I'm gonna bother to go out.

ah how i love it.  the breeder comment always pisses the masses off.  y'all are so funny.

this was a thread on what's your thought about having places special for your kids.  likely there would be more entertainment in these sections but y'all are too busy pissing and moaning.  if you're kids are behaved and have been in a restaurant w/ me i've probably come over and complimented both the parents and the kids.  i also usually keep some kind of bling toy in my truck and give it to the child for being so well behaved.  good things come to those that behave.

Alright I can't leave this one alone.....

I agree with both sides. I have 3 kids QT's met my son..  He's a handful but pretty well behaved when we go out.

Instead of a kids section how about a section for people w/o kids. There's less of them than there are with them. The way I look at it on the bar situation is if you don't want your kids around it don't go in. My kids have shown there arses many of times in restaurants.... They also know what it means when we whisper "Wanna take a trip to the bathroom?" they usually straiten up real quick. I don't beat my kids but I will spank them if need be.

Alot of the reason most parents don't discipline their kids now a days is b/c there are soo many people who don't believe in spanking and will call the cops. First thing that is taught in school and I do mean first day of school... "If your parents hit you no matter how they do it, it's abuse. tell someone and they will get you help." Thats BS in most cases .I know when I was little I would threaten to call the cops when I got spanked...Back then they would have laughed and asked what I did...Now you get DCF called on you and treated like your a criminal b/c you try to discipline your kid so they don't go out and act like they have no rules.

It's a good thing QT's not a breeder she'd have a litter by now :) lol j/k

Kids are great..they change the way you think.... but that doesn't mean it has to be for the worse take in consideration other people and if you can't control your kids call the Nanny..that woman works wonders! lol

Exactly don't blame the kid for the lack of parental smarts...........our dirtygrl80 only tested the waters once when she was 4 at a rest. but her dad nipped it right there, always was a great minding child, and she will tell ya about that day still.........and says that the 1st baby on the way for them will not do that stuff either...

No really, all I want is some peace. My main complaint is babies and parents that think thats its ok to let them cry. I wouldn't bring my child out unless he or she could understand what shut up means. Other than that you can yell at a baby or blame a baby. So thats were a childrens section would work, let the little fuc*** scream then.
Link500 what are not man enough to sit in the childrens section? Just think you can breast feed there without anybody getting mad. :hotty2.gif

LOL, When theres somebody like that I'll try to be louder & try to annoy them (turn it around on them), like pretend your on your phone talking real loud & say somethin like "what do you mean you have crab's, is it contagious" then get up & sneeze at there table or somethin on your way to the bathroom.
Or times like that is when you had one of those little fart machines.

You gotta just get funny like that, act retarded or somethin, start throwin food or some peanuts at who your sitting with, maybe it'll land on them or there table, make them want to leave.

A funny thing I remember is when I was in High School (91) I took a girl to FUN-LAN drive-in & the couple next to us started arguing in there car, we were in my truck, the girl & guy sittin next to us started goin at it she kept sayin "I want some pop-corn" after a while he said "shut-up, I done paid to get yo azz in here" she said "take me home den, take me to my momma house" he said "shut-up", they kept on for a few minutes then started there car up & left, they were funnier than the movie.

LOL Classy... ::)

yeah this coming from a guy that thinks everyone around should change b/c he was dumb enough to take his kids into a situation that was inappropriate for them.  who's the one lacking in class?  think again sunshine.  i don't do things around children that are inappropriate.  no need to... ppl like yourselves do it anyway.

QT I have never taken a Child into a Bar. If you do not know the difference between a Hooters type bar and an Irish Pub kinda place you need to get out more. If you went into an Alehouse ( tables and waitresses serving food to Families and people like you)   and sat at the Bar and began cussing like some degenerate....I think you are wrong.

If some fool brought a Child into a "BAR" BAR ...and tried to have a drink while the child ran amuck ..THEY would be wrong.

Yeah...that's what they should do.

Why don't they just put one big jail in a back room to throw the kids in and you can feed them like they are wild animals...I take responsibility for my kids and what they do, if they start acting up in walmart or any other store for that matter, I will walk out full cart or not... It's easier for the people who "Work" there to put the stuff back than to have people look at you like you are an unfit parent. most the time we make it to the parking lot and they mysteriously straiten up...lol j/k.....maybe :)

I know this has already probably been said, but it all depends on the parents.  My wife and I have one child who is almost 2.  She is very well behaved.  Granted we don't take her out late at night to the bars, but a dinner at chilis or applebees is not a problem.  My daughter is my pride and joy.  As long as we don't act like your typical scumbag family, which we don't, and let your kids run wild and scream, why should all families be punished for this.  For those of you who portay yourselves like morons here that have no kids, hopefully one day when you do, you will understand once you are a responsible parent.  The parents are the influnce and the teachers.  I agree with all of you that have had the experience at restaurants with kids being out of control and making your time there a living hell.  I have seen it.  Once again, screw those scumbag parents, not us all.

You know, you really need to think of the class of restaurant you're in when faced with a screaming demon child. Chili's, Olive Garden, Sonny's, etc... What do you expect? They're not Zagat rated eateries and more on the level of a Walmart. If you're paying less than $30.00 a plate you can't really complain.

Heck, when I go to those types of places I take off my underwear, put them on my head, run around with a fork and scream at the top of my lungs. Sometimes I even throw salt and pepper shakers for kicks and pee on the floor.

I will say this. When aced with kids acting in this manner I usually turn and face the parents and start belching really loud in their direction. Sometimes I even stare at them and chew my food with my mouth open, talk really loud and laugh obnoxiously. It usually results in them controlling their brood.

1st I have to say, don't say anything unless you have kids.  I can clearly remember my pre-k days (you know prior to kids), I would see some kid and well, my kid would never, yea right!!!

Honeslty though it is all about diversion and keeping them occupied.  Bring stuff they like, and also if you there for a while or dinner is taking a while, take the kid for a walk or something.  Toddlers have very little attention span, it ain't going to take long and they are bored.  But so many parents just sit there ignore there kids, so yea, the little tike goes off.

The thing that always gotten me, is the Catholic Church.  The Catholic Church says you must bring your baby to Church.  Now anyone can tell you can't keep a toddler content for one hour doing absolutely nothing, and stay absolutely quiet.  I hear of so many other Churches, they actually do specific activitied for specific age groups.  This not only keeps the entire Church quite, but more importantly it actually draws the child into learning more about God.  The Catholic Church needs to really get with that.

Well, there's my 2cents....

Well I wasn't gonna rehash this thread but since it's back up.

Joe, you said it yourself.  Do you take kids into a hooters type bar? Well that's still a bar.  Hooters is not a family establishment.  I don't know if you do take your family there, but if you do I find it rude of you to take your wife and daughter to a restaurant so you can look at boobs.  We all know their food isn't the best and several other places sell beer and wings that are better and more apropriate.

I have never sat at any bar cussing like a degenerate.  In fact, when I have slipped up and cussed in front of a child I try to correct it then apologize to the child for my mistake.

Do me a Favor QT just when you start to formulate a thought concerning Me as a Person or how I do things....STOP you have no Idea little girl...stick to the debate and keep your half cocked theories of how I parent to yourself.....YOU DIG?

Sunshine your the pot calling the kettle black.  Before you run off w/ your half cocked ideas about me I suggest you consider ignoring what you brood has made up on their opinon of me.  Sit back have a beer w/ me and realize that you as well have NO clue who I am or what kind of person I am.  Be an individual, think for yourself, and formulate your own decision about who I am or am not.  I could atleast respect that.

I came on here w/ a comment about some things I've seen.  Not necessarily what I've done.  YOU assumed, w/o knowing me, that I would do these things.  We know what assuming makes out of us.  Then you opted to accuse or criticize me for things I have not done.  I was not the one who started battle w/ you.  And this is not the first time you've attacked my integrity w/o knowing me.  So before you run off w/ your diarhea of the mouth about someone you don't know.  I suggest you take a moment to get to know the person.

For those that aren't aware.  I was a parent for 3 yrs to my x's children.  I loved them dearly and very much like kids.  I just chose to not have any of my own.

Chero- I understand where you are coming from but this was a discussion on if ppl think a separate area would be a good idea for those w/ and w/o kids in restaurants.  I'm not gonna get into the not my kid theory cause it doesn't get anyone anywhere.  Every child makes mistakes so does every adult.  It's life and we are not perfect.

Having a kid section in a restaurant is a direct reflection of parenting.  Cause sorry in the day I was kid, you acted up in the restaurant, well then you took that long walk to the restroom.  (Which now makes me laugh)...  I remember when I was kid, I must been acting up, well of course not me, well anyway my mom took me to the bathroom and she must of beat my butt.  From that day on, my mom would ask me, "Rebecca you got to go to the bathroom, and not matter what, I was like no mommy"....  reardless if I was in trouble or not.  I could remember having to go to the bathroom so bad, but hell na, it could wait....too fuuny...

But anyway, yes it does reflect on parenting skills, directly.

As for Hooters, I don't see that as a bar, and I am not offended.  Hell, now-adays it's a good thing your boy is looking at chicks.... Going down to the corner bar, yea, that's wrong, but heck we go to Wings over here Oakland Park, and no the women don't exactly dress like Hooter chicks, but it's about the same.  As for the use of language, I am with you, and not that I don't slip.  But heck, my kid hears more bad words in the woods, than he ever does in any setting.  But like I tell him, just bcz you hear it, don't give you the right to say it.

I guess I am up to 4 cents....LOL

You have to remember, quite a few parents in this world never should have be in the first place. The same ones you see with kids going bonkers, bouncing off everything and everyone are the same type that would buy their child a big quad and send them off with no supervision to get hurt or killed.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with QT on this one. I would never take my daughter in a Hooters. I would also be very disappointed if she ever finds the need to go work there either. Hopefully I will have taught her to respect herself a bit more than that when it comes time.
You are also right, the wings suck.

As for Hooters, I don't see that as a bar, and I am not offended.  Hell, now-adays it's a good thing your boy is looking at chicks....

My wife, daughter, and me are avid Hooters fans. We enjoy their establishment very thoroughly. It is one of the last places in Broward that sells pitchers of beer. As for kids being in there, if its during the day (lunch rush) we will sit anywhere. When we go for dinner the hostess tries to sit us in the middle, we prefer to go back into one of the corners of the establishment, other parents sit back there and it is more less a cubby if you will. About 8 tables secluded from the rest of the restaurant and it seems all the parents hang out back there. As for the food, I use to hate it. But I have found that (naked I think is what they call it) breaded chicken and 3 mile island on the side for me Blue cheese for MrsPL and Mustard and ketchup with a dab of hot sauce for BabyLogic and everybody enjoys it. I don’t go there for the BOOB’s I don’t go there for the "WOMEN" I go there because I like a pitcher of Miller Lite while I am eating my wings with my family listening to music in a loud noisy restaurant. And NO my child DOES NOT ACT A FOOL IN THERE.

No one has ever provided me w/ anything that I haven't done for them in return.

So we've heard.  ::)

Please don't let the big bad Florida Mudriders aka bullies come over here and beat me up.  I'm so scared I'm quivering in my shoes.  Y'all are pretty impressive having to send the pack over to defend one solo female.  And notice I haven't needed anyone to jump in on my behalf.

What are we 10??  LOL  Come on Lauren.......grow up.   ;)

Shouldn't wacker be over here in a minute w/ some disgusting porn video like the one he posted on your site referencing that it was me getting my holes filled up.

Poor Wackys' catching heat and he's not even around today to add fuel to the fire....LOL   :P  But have no fear..I'm sure he'll be along soon.......  ;D

I'm not even registered on that site but your stuff makes it back to me.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.  ;)

I'm done w/ y'all and have no need to post to anything further that you have to say.

I thought you were done?  ::)

When any one of you can get your IQ up to 50 and get intelligent try again.

Just like Joe said, you always through in some weak attempt to psycho-anaylze the "crowd.."  LOL

You really are a funny woman Lauren...........LOL   :Fp

Like it was posted on our website QT which I am sure you and your cretins have seen. Can’t mess with a Florida Mud Rider. We don’t tolerate it one single bit.

Call us what you may, call us what you will; the true test is time, Time and time again has proven and redeemed people. It also shows what there true colors are. Paint the picture and read the story the way you want, but the truth is the truth and that’s all that matters.

Bar that serves mainly alcohol and a little food (sandwiches , chips, etc) - no kids ever

Irish bar and grill places actually cater to kids and families during the day  in many places.

It's amazing how many ex kids don't like kids LOL  You anti-kids people should realize that if society shuns them now, they'll pay you back later. If you want adult only interaction order some food, pick it up, eat it while running your nasty mouths at your own house with anyone you wish to invite. But when in public - you know where everyone is welcome - try to act civilized, watch you language and set an example for how the kids should act instead of looking down you nose at the future of our world for being what they are.... kids. I am just thankful some people dont have kids. Can you imagine how they would come up ? I assume QT and others were perfect angels when they were young....yeah right. I'm against abortion with every bit of my being, but people that spend their time crying about a kid being a kid makes me think they are a good argument for it. If only their parents had known they would turn out to be ill-adjusted, malcontent, child hating jerks.  Hey QT you should go get your nuts clipped so you don't make any of those restraunt rampaging little ones for yourself  :D

ok, i have to take a moment to apologize.  i was just schooled on the term breeder.  i was not aware of the negative connotation of it.  i have used it for years as an interchangable word like parent.  i just wanted to take a moment to say that i never have meant that word in any derogatory way.

LMAO  I have no idea what derogatory implication goes along with the term you used, but I find it funny that you feel the need to segregate yourself from those that engage in procreation and perpetuate our genes as well as the global population. does that make you a non-parent (avoiding the possibly offensive term here) or can we label you as you have labeled us ? maybe sterile old maid ? or perhaps infertile mamma's girl ? Or would a general description of "one not worthy of producing children" suffice ? ;D

No offense was intended to you or QT papahouse. I feel we should be able to engage in discussions without being offended. I simply responded to the prior 4 pages of posts. QT knows I wasn't trying to offend her. If I offended you I apologize as it was unintentional. However, I feel it necessary to point out that not everyone here agrees on every issue, including on general topics. I would recommend simply not participating in those that you don't want to associate yourself with to avoid engaging in what you might feel is inappropriate. Keep in mind if every post here was only atv related (not including for sale threads) then the site would be cut down by about 50 %.

No offense taken, differing opinions are one thing but this thread went way bevond that. As I am sure you are aware I to like to share differing opinions but also like to share ridin adventures. Let's keep it to differing opinions a forget the labeling and name calling.

So I guess there more folks on the side of having a kids or family section in restaurants, from what a gather from reading through all these post. I knew there would be some ignorant opinions like from Able, Joe Dirt, etc. They probably would still vote pres. Bush for another term. ???
Anyways the point of the conversation was smarts of keeping customers happy, along with restaurants and there waiting staff. I know this would make customers without kids very happy along with the ones with kids too. All of my friends that have kids agree with me on this, they told me their selves that they wish they had children and family sides to restaurants. They even stated when they go out without there children they would like a peaceful dinner out in a restaurant. I guess my friends have entered the 21st century along with most of us. For the few that are ignorant be ignorant and be left behind. :-\

What a laugh.... you call people ignorant for having an opinion, while you assert yours like it is gold. Then try to incorporate politics LMAO. I'm so glad you and your friend of the 21st century have it all figured out  :D :D :D

One person's rights end where another's begin, and like it or not kids have rights too, even though they can't be expected (at least not by those WITH common sense) to act like small adults.  for someone to say kids shouldn't be allowed in restraunts is insane. what's next ? sporting events ? malls ? hey maybe we should make them all wear veils and walk 5 steps behind ! yep that's a real progressive 21st century attitude you have there  ::)

Ignorant??..Let me explain something to you...I have worked in the service industry for years ..and judging by your attitude YOU are the kind of people we would try and dissuade from patronizing our establishment...you are rude and you think you are owed something. People like you wind up stealing the silverware and trying to get a free meal by complaining about the crying baby all the while cracking jokes on the handicapped to impress your Apple Martini drinking friends....because YOU think the world revolves around YOU and YOUR peaceful 21st Century evening.

Ok even on that one, I must jump in....

My first question, you got kids, NO!!!!

Keeping customer's away, whatever...  Look I will agree that many parents need to do a better job parenting, and though again it may be said this has nothing to do with parenting, it has everything to do with parenting.

"when the go out with out there kids they want a peaceful dinner", you know what as for me & my husband, I think we have been out maybe 4 times without my son, cause we don't we don't have anyone to leave my son with, and besides I rather enjoy the evening with my FAMILY.  Hey there's a word people leave behind in the 21'st century, now aint it.

Look if you got a kid going off, take the kid for a walk and it is all good.  I so look forward to the day you have kids, cuz trust me, only then my friend will you get it.

And yes I voted for BUSH!!!!

Ok I have to do this quick so I can make time to kick my own azz, but here it goes.......

Okay dang I did it again, got into this crap, first let me say I apologize for the 2 year old remark, but it was in your profile, so ya kind of left yourself open for that one.

Second, as Toby Keith says, let's just agree to disagree, and yea, I am going to go back to just reading so I don't get involved in this drama stuff again.  But your just touched a subject that is dear to me, and that's my son and my family.  Personally I think society is already done enough damage to what is called a family.  And if a family wants to go out to dinner, so be it, family first!

If a crying kid is the least of worries, than you know what, you got a pretty good damn life....

Are we adults here? We should know when and where to take our kids. If people do not know the difference on what is appropriate or inappropriate, to take our kids, something is wrong with this picture. The most important thing here is to tell your kids you love them and make sure you hug them every day.

Or would a general description of "one not worthy of producing children" suffice ? ;D

I can't believe what I am reading here. I know this is probably meant as a joke, but I am going to be honest here. If I heard a man say this to a woman in front of me I would punch them in the eye. (or fat head in your case.)

As a father of a young daughter, I would be personally be very proud if she turned out half as well as QT.

I certainly hope when I scroll through the 35 new messages, I find more than Papahouse taking a stand against vile garbage such as this. I am seriously disappointed in what I see in this thread.

ok, i have to take a moment to apologize.  i was just schooled on the term breeder.  i was not aware of the negative connotation of it.  i have used it for years as an interchangable word like parent.  i just wanted to take a moment to say that i never have meant that word in any derogatory way.
Not being one to instigate any drama, I'll refrain from throwing any fuel on the fire at least for now, but I just gotta say, Qt, seriously you just now learned the usage of "breeder's"? That's funny, cuz when you first used it way back in the beginning of this thread I stumbled at my keyboard ever so slightly and spit beer on the wall, as I began to ponder the possibility that you were using the term "Breeder's" as it is used by that certain counter culture....thing's that make you go hmmmm :R

I had no clue.  Thank god someone filled me in on this.  I've always used it in a joking manner since I'm not having kids.  I won't be using the phrase in the future.  Nothing to question here.  QT doesn't switch hit and those that are close friends know where I stand on that.

Sometimes, I go to restaurants with a really scary mask just to make little kids freak out and scream really loud. Also, I sometimes steal food off little kids plates when the parents aren't looking. It really makes them mad and they usually start to cry at the top of their little lungs.

Oh, and I teach kids how to pick their noses and hide the boogers under the table too.  Kids are cool.

Awesome idea, that & it would be a very clean restaraunt w/ no food being left on the floor & probably not any rats in that place either w/ pit bulls being the natural killers that they are.

If they are going to designate a section for kids in certain resturants can we also have a few other sections? Such as a section for the people with BO you know the people that refuse to shower, or a laborer that just got off work. Another section for the loud, rude and obnixous people that love to shout everything, fart, burp and generally act like asses they tend to be more annoying than a kid moving around in their seat. I also think that vegatarians should sit in a different section I don't want my cheeseburger or steak to offend someone while I eat.

Seriously if you are that intolerant of children then maybe YOU need to find a new place to eat. I'm a pretty impatient person and yes kids can be annoying when they are not being watched but it's not that big of a deal. If it is to you then maybe you need to start rethinking other issues in your life because you are on the verge of a breakdown.

My F-350 got caught in a brush fire and burnt to the ground. I bought a new truck and had to sell something to pay for the lift/wheels/tires for the new truck and the KQ was the least used.

I'll end up with another ute eventually but for now the Rhino does pretty well.

Don and I both enjoy lighting farts in nice places and setting children on fire. You should see how fast the little basturds run when burning.

Are we adults here? We should know when and where to take our kids. If people do not know the difference on what is appropriate or inappropriate, to take our kids, something is wrong with this picture. The most important thing here is to tell your kids you love them and make sure you hug them every day.

that's been the best statement of this entire thread!!!   :Clap.gif :Clap.gif :Clap.gif :Clap.gif

Hey ya'll, I'm a mom of two little girls. The whole thread is so long I no longer remember what I wanted to say....but here's my thought. Although this thread is long gone, and old......wanted to say that if you are able to bring kids, and make sure they are able to behave, it is a good introduction to the real world out there for the kids. If they don't behave, nip it in the bud early, or they leave the restaurant!! Nobody's perfect, and nothing happens the way you expect everything to happen. Just live life to its fullest, and do what you can to make sure your kids behave. My girls behave well in restaurants, and we eat anywhere we can at least once or twice a month. When my oldest was testing her limits on a family vacation in Daytona Beach---she actually threw a french fry into another customers dinner! Like she has done that before! I was SHOCKED! I apologized to the man next to me who knew that was a curve out of nowhere. Yet she did it again. Like it was a fun thing to, not knowing it was not the right thing to do. BOOM! out with an angry Daddy. She never got to come back in. Dinner, not important as making sure our daughter behaved properly in the future. She has continued to behave well knowing bad behavior means an exit out of the restaurant. Both of us have been in the food service industry for years. As for QT, everyone is entitled to own opinions. If my daughters grow up to be good people like QT, I'd be proud. They don't even have to be more like QT to make me proud because they are doing great in each their own ways. All I have to do is make sure they grow up with positive influences around them. I truly believe QT would have been a good mom, even though she does not want kids. It's in sharing values, enthusiam for life to name a few down to your children.

Oh, I remember Hooters. We had a large family gathering there, and it was to eat there. I would not have picked that place, but there were five cousins with us under the age of 14. My little one was 1 at the time. No biggy. One of my cousins asked "Is this what a slut looked like?". Her mom told her yes, I was like sh*t! That is not so true! I tried to tell her that a slut is more of the red light variety than a woman who has to dress up on the job to look the Hooter way. What one wears does not always neccesarily reflect that person's values. What the heck. Moral here is you can't always right the wrongs with people who think differently about many things. Or force your beliefs on others. Just raise your kids the way you think is best for them and have them be good children even when they act up. It's not always their fault. I have a fantastic example of that one: Bo Ling's in Ft. Myers. My man wanted to treat me to nice place to eat on the way home from Miami. I was okay with the nearby Waffle House on the account of our oldest sitting in car all day long in Miami. He says Bo Ling's. Ok. Needless to say, who could help it being active after sitting a long time in the car? Only the guy ate dinner alone. We spent time walking around and having fun. Guy learned a lsson about kids needing things. Make sure they are dressed accordingly to the weahter, fed, and content. Not to bother the whole resturant. No running around even. We don't allow that. i don't mean to ramble on. My two thousand cents.
