Title: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on July 27, 2007, 04:42:30 PM On Friday before Memorial Day, bought new ATV from the poor, desperate folks @ Motorsports of Fart Lauderdale. After being asked to wait for it to be prepped(my idea was to return the next day), we were told it would be delivered the following day because it had "issues". It was delivered around 6pm Saturday with broken tail reflectors and missing hub caps. On Sunday, we drove up to River Ranch only to discover that we couldn't even get the ATV out of the parking lot due to it backfiring and stalling-out(bad gas?). It would only idle. Immediately loaded the unit back on the trailer and had to listen to 10 y.o. complain about why I bought him such a POS. That's testimony to the competency of their technicians? Returned the unit to dealer on Memorial Day and demanded a replacement. The bast^%&ds had the balls to ask for another $200 to exchange the unit and I had to call them Tuesday to remind them to deliver it, which they did on Wednesday. They promised to give me a $150 skid plate for my troubles, then changed their minds and wanted dealer cost for it, the following day. I reluctantly agreed and have been calling them 2-3x per week for the past 2 months. Each time I call, I'm put on hold for 5-10 minutes, "accidentally" hung up on and not called back. When I do get through, they say they're busy and will call me back. Their bubble-headed, bleached-blond silicone telephone operators are indifferent. I will continue to call them whenever bored just to be a pain in their arse and simultaneously tie-up 2-3 phone lines. Until this post, I never previously threatened, criticized or was rude in any way to any one of their employees, including 3 managers I spoke with. They just don't give a rat's arse after they've got your money! If they ever return my call and produce the skid plate, I'll let you know, but I'm not holding my breath. BTW, the replacement ATV meets every expectation, so I don't understand their lack of response with their skid plate promise.

Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on July 27, 2007, 09:36:36 PM Thanks guys. With Riva and Broward Motorsports in close vicinity, they should be a little more customer friendly. Whatever money they think they saved by ignoring me, they obviously don't need.

Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: vader on August 04, 2007, 02:55:17 PM +1 .... I have been to 3 of the Motorsports dealerships when I was a rep and all 3 sucked about as bad as the possibly could have as far as treating people right. Motorsports of Tampa could possibly have been the worse.
Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on August 20, 2007, 05:06:21 PM On Friday before Memorial Day, bought new ATV from the poor, desperate folks @ Motorsports of Fart Lauderdale. Today(August 20th) they call to tell me that my title/OHV sticker are ready. So, I call @ 3pm to ask them to mail it to me and get told the girl who does that is at lunch. They're all out to lunch even at their best moments. 11 weeks to register my new ATV. Please stay away from these stooges.

Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: jrpro130 on August 23, 2007, 09:49:43 PM Uh oh, I'm working a deal with them right now on an 08 Ducks Unlimited Grizz...
A buddy of mine bought from them and had no problems...bought it for 8800 OTD with 27" xtr's and 14" wheels and 2yr warranty about 3 months ago. Me on the other hand, I can't stand riva. They are re-renovating their place, so they say. They DON'T want to work a deal with me. They won't come off the price much, and they have bogus fee's. It took them months to do my reg/tag and they STILL haven't got my freaking owners manual in (it's been 4 months) and I'm about to trade this bike in for an 08 griz. Figures...my luck. Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on August 23, 2007, 10:19:17 PM Good luck! You'd best hope you get a bike that works correctly so you won't need their customer service. It's all about pushing th product to those bastards.

Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: YELLOW RR on September 17, 2007, 04:01:15 PM Riva charges 9.00$ for a quart of reg. honda 10w-40 oil......Now i see where they get the money for renovations. I agree with you though motosports of ft. lauderdale have not so bright people working there, I bought a 07 ltr450 last weekend there, and was in the back watching the 18-20 yr. old preping my quad, I saw the chain was really loose and asked him to tighten it, that boy had no idea how to tighten the chain. Had to use his tools so i could get it tight before i left, Other than that the quad runs beautiful......and they sell the same oil as riva for 4-5 $$ less!
Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on September 20, 2007, 04:50:07 PM Everyone sells oil. You get what you pay for there when it comes to service and quality! Don't even attempt to compare the competency of RIVA wrenchers to Mojospurts of Fart Liquordale. You'll soon be sorry, if they have to touch your bike.
Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: AintSkeered on October 16, 2007, 08:21:34 PM Motosports of Ft. Lauderdale still sucks. Please route all Broward County repairs to J & J Motorsports 954-316-5800.

Title: Re: Motorsports Of Ft. Lauderdale, Stay Away Post by: Yamaha72 on February 06, 2008, 07:29:48 PM Every dealership in S.FL sucks so much, they are a bunch of lying, deceiving people that just want to sucker you into a 'good deal', seems almost as if you have to travel out of state to get remotely genuine service nowadays...
