on state Road 70 E

Gates open Fri. @7 A.m. ATV's only. Sat. All things 4wd, Sun. All things 4wd

  Admission $15 per person per day or $30 for the weekend.
  The gates never close.

  Overnight campers welcome, sorry no hook-ups.
 
   No one under 18 permitted without an adult

   No 3 wheelers allowed

   We are very excited about this Mudfest there will be a brand new Can-Am Renegade 500 given away at the event, the guerilla team from Can-Am will be showcasing many recreational products on site.

I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last year was awsome! Craziest stuff ive ever seen!! This time Im camping for the whole weekend.

i got my bike back just in time, its gonna be busy weekend  start off on the atv only day go home then to toby kieth concert then come back sunday for some fun

ONE HELPFUL TIP FROM A RETURNING 3 YEAR VISITOR-----WATER THE DAMN ROAD!!!!!! No offense but Last February was down right rediculas as far as dust goes. I had a blast regardless but I couldn't see Hwy 70 from across the Mudhole. Please spend a few bucks for a water truck like the folks at the Pumpkin Run do. It helps so much!


But anyways......I'll be there Friday about 12:00. Hope to see yall there.

YOU CAN GET THERE ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT WAYS. IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOUR COMMING FROM. LOOK ON A MAP AND FIND HWY 70. EITHER TAKE I-95 OR THE TURNPIKE AND HIT 70 WEST OR EAST (AGAIN, DEPENDING WHERE YOU COMMING FROM) AND YOU SHOULD SEE IT ABOUT 10 MINUTES OUTSIDE THE TOWN OF OKEECHOBEE.

if you take 95 or the turnpike your gunna go WEST on 70 regardless. you wouldnt get off 95/turnpike and go east on 70

Are airplanes or helicopters allowed? What about airboats? I was going to bring my airboat and launch it off a trailer 5 ft into the air and drive around the mud.

To answer a serious question, There was probably close to 20,000 people there last year give or take. It was packed but well worth it. There are no trails or "group rides" like L-cross. This is much more badass than L-cross. This is just a 60 acre mudhole of pure insanity. Well worth the drive from any distance except New England. Nobody likes a Yankee, they can't drive. The Jersey guys can come down, they were cool.

hey guys i just watched a mudfest video and i had a couple qusions about 1. the weather and 2. can i bring my sport quad

yes there will be weather.... and yes sport quads can come... Friday is ATVs only... which is best for flying around the fields. If it was like last year, sat and sun are kinda too crowded to be gettin it on a sport. but it is the fastest way to get through traffic.

Anything with wheels can come pretty much. Ethan is right, ATV's are the quickest way to get around.

yes, but its more like a trickle and the whole place wants to use the showers... if ya can, find a 55gal drum and fill it up

There are 3 shower which are just PVC pipe coming out of the ground. It's really cold though.

There aren't very good bathrooms, just a bunch of port-o-poddys that dont get cleaned. I'd just bring a 5 gallon bucket, do your buisness, and leave it in someones truck when everyone is asleep.

There is a commercial for Specialty Powersports in Jupiter ( Can AM) who has a tent at Mudfest.....a line in the commercial is as follows....."imagine yourself heading down a mud drenched trail at the Okechobee mudfest".....  ::)

it didnt need the staring fluid... ran fine with putting gas in the carb. There were holes in the fuel lines therefore it wouldnt prime the pump. Austin can vouch for that cause he was there when gas was gushing out all over the place.

no my truck will not go to any Okeechobee mudfest. after taking the 4wheeler last time, ive decided that is the best way to go. Easy to clean, and nothing breaks if you stay outta the mud. Id rather watch other ppl kill their trucks and get trashed during the night.

the truck will be running soon enough.. i dont see the hurry to half-ass it. I just plopped another $1500 down 2nights ago on more parts.... and yeah i could have bought something done, but its not done my way and would end up spending more.

and i hate the ranger... it was there when my '95s frame got hosed. Long term it was a good investment. I would have bought anything, whether a toyota, ford, chebby, dodge, nissan... as long as its a truck and not over a grand, cause at the time thats all i had after buying tires, axles, lockers, and all that BS. no payments, gets me around, dont see the big deal?  and yes Jens car beat me, i never said the ranger was the fast.

right now duce and half 24'' of custom lift we made all shakles hangers trac bars 16.9x24's 205 case 360 motor,the 360 was put in just for mudfest but building a aprox 545 ci bbf with about 760-790 ponies

that big guy we were playing darts with had an R6 and was smoking the tire like crazy in the parking lot and almost fell over. then he was doing wheelies up and down in front of the place and almost fell off twice, it was pretty funny because he weighed like 300lbs and sucked really bad, plus it was wet out so we were all hoping he would lose it.

Yeah, I had my fingers crossed the bike would slide out. That would have been funny.

IVE BEEN TO OKEE MUDFEST 3 TIMES BUT NEVER CAMPED, ANYONE KNOW WHAT CONDITION THE ROAD IS TO GET TO THE CAMPING AREA? SHOULD I HAVE ANY TROUBLE PULLING A 6,000LB. TOY HAULER IN THERE WITH A 2WD TRUCK? AND HOW CROWDED DOES THE CAMPING AREA GET?

If you've got a big toy hauler you going to need room to menuever around. I'd get their some Friday (early or late) and get your spot. If not, then you going to wait in Saturday's line and have a hell of a time moving that trailer around all the other campers.

You'll be fine to get back to the camping area. Same dirt road as the rest of the place.

the first time i went 3 events ago (this will be my 4th)... think it was Feb of '06.... there was NOBODY out there, whoever was out there pretty much had free roam of the place... then a year later at this Feb '07 event, it was nuts... people everywhere.

The guy that ownes Mudfest ownes 08 seconds. It's about 10 minutes up the road on the left. I forget the name of the street but if you head west you'll see a gas station on your right(I think it's a Hess or BP or something). Make a U-Turn and head back east. It'll be the first road on the right as soon as you turn around.

Lock your doors though, I know "nascarfreak88" robs cars there when everyone is inside dancing. That little punk.

Ive been hearing crazy stories about this mudfest.. I go to the one off highway 78 almost every month but I have never been to this one... Is it really outta control?

It's pretty crazy. L-cross is nothing compaored to this. I dont go to L-cross but that doesn't matter. 70 Mudfest is kickass.

Saturday night at 08 seconds is 18 and older. Get drunk before you go in because unless you know someone, you'll get a "Under 21" kiddie stamp.

ok guys never been to mudfest before and was wondering if u can bring glass beer bottles and liquor bottles need to know if i need to put the jack and the rum into different container and if i need to buy can beer.

i haven't been in 3 yrs but to be safe put them in plastic containers.  also leave any guns or pets at home.

Early reports Indicate there is a ton of people there already...2 PortoLets...and 1 hose and No Toilet paper....they are expecting a ton More !!!

wooooooooooooo!!!! Just got back! Awesome! Pretty crowded, hot but w/e it's august in Florida duh. plenty of mud I'll be back in febuary, I definately got lots of hoots and hollers from guys when I was wearing my bikini all good fun.

I need a little help here! I didn't get to MUD FEST but my son and his girl did. They were at the Can-Am tent signing up for the giveaway stuff and some ungrateful turd made off with her digital camera. She put it on the Outlander 800 LTD rack while she was filling out the slips on the seat, then went up to hand in the slip, turned around and it disappeared :'(. Real friggin nice! >:(  They kept going back all weekend to check to see if someone turned it in but no luck. If anyone knows someone who says they found a camera have them check the pictures on the memory card. Some were of a Batchlerette party. All clean pics, sorry! Just e-mail me the pics, they were important to them, keep the camera, I'll send you $100.00.  The camera was a CANON, Digital elf, i think they said.  Thanks, TJ

have you seen the price this year???chucks trucks is boycotting them you cant even say mudfest on theire site or they will delete it. feb we paid 35 per person for the weekend this aug. it is 40 a day and 100 per person per weekend??? we are still thinking about going but want to know if we will be the only ones there?           hey toy hauler stay on the right side of the pit you should be fine if you go to the other side there is one way in and one way out (it rained in feb) and everyone was slipping around in the bottleneck ( we get there when they open at 7 on fri) to get good spots and not so much traffic. atv mag said 40,000 last feb

Hey ATVGONEWILD I see that you are planning a mudding event on the same weekend as Okeechobee Mudfest, hope you do well good luck finding customers who will pay to play and ride on a human waste dumpsite. It's sad that you need to attack Okeechobee Mudfest in order to generate business for yourself.

so why the price increase?i could see $10-15 increase but going to $100 is a lil much.people with large families arent gonna be able to afford it!! and most of the larger 2.5 and 5 ton trucks arent coming either because of that.i cant afford $400 for entrance, plus $300 in fuel,plus another $200 in food,and a few hundred more for other stuff...im going to a closer mud hole,and spending a lot less

no doubt man. plus i think another reason the huge increase it to weed out the stupider people. the ones mostly on the 4wheelers who are the ones cutting off the guys on 2.5 tons so they get run over, and the stupid guys with the 2.5 tons who are the ones not paying attention and running over people on 4wheelers.

That's funny....I think its sad to charge $100/person for entry...especially in this tough economy.  We're not attacking anyone, and were planning on attending Mudfest (and hosting our event on a different weekend) like we do every year until we found out about the price increase.  We decided to host the event on the same weekend based on the feedback/suggestions we received from our extended ATV network of friends.  No need to wish us goodluck.....we have alerady exceeded our expectations as far as the attendance we are expecting.

As far as your "dumpsite" comment, I would recommend not talking about things you know nothing about (just proves you are ignorant).  We have been redesigning the site and putting rules and organization in place to provide an exceptional riding experience for our attendees.  I would suggest you visit our site (www.atvsgonewildonline.com) and do some research before opeing your mouth.

what about the damn ants beds on the mudfest parking lot. Id pay 100 if there were RV hook ups or a spring fed swimming hole

Ya'll need to stop bashing Mr. Sales. I dont agree with the price either, but who's to say he wasn't going to lower it on the next go around when he sees the attendance drop? You guys are crucifying him for the price and I'm sure he couldn't care less about who goes now. You really thinks he's worried about the money? He's already made his bank the past five years. Not to mention everyone cried the past 2 years about all the chaos out there, and now that he's weeding those people out, you complain. The ones that have nothing to lose out there cause alot of the trouble, the ones with a $100,000 on their trailer dont get quite as rowdy (not to say they can't party too, lol).

I dont support the price but I do wish he would keep it going for those that can attend it.

hey johnsales you should be allies with atvsgonewild they can teach you a thing or two on hosting an event. dude are you kidding me with that price.lets figure this out . ok 100 times 4 is 400 .now i can get in . ok 100 for fuel at the event 150 for fuel to get there.200 for food a beer and ice at the event.950?am i forgeting anything?oh yeah the risk of my kids getting crushed cause you dont sepperate the  big trucks and the little atvs unable to be seen by the big truck driver whos windows are covered in mud. um john i thing you should rethink your planning at get back to us next year hopefully with a much better plan ;)

if i had plans to go to mudfest i would have abandoned them just because of this comment. now im glad i only went once and none of the others.

I personally drove by the site of Mudfest yesterday... and the cattle were standing up to theit bellies in the main mud hole. Two days before an event, and you still have the livestock pooping in the main mudpit and everywhere else? How is that different that the other site? ::)

I have been to all the events for the past 3 years and that coment was uncalled for and just bad form, add in the $100 price and my family and i will take our fun else where. Now to address the above coments about haveing $100,000 on your trailer some how makes you more safe is silly, i have seen so many of the Big $ trucks that think they own every place they go, I have trucks as well as ATV's and Mud Fest has never had a safe setup. I support the crew from Atvsgonewild in offering a more safe and organized event. But where ever you decide to ride keep it safe so the media and all the haters have nothing to talk about.

The onlything i saw that was dumb was the coment, we are all in this sport because we love it and for anyone real or fake to trash an event is dumb. I wish everyone a safe weekend where ever you ride.

WELL WELL WELL>  this is an interesting post.  Our club THE EAST COAST DIRTY GIRLS have always been an attendee of this event.  The price increase that was stated at the last event on our fliers was a shifting point for some of us.  The $10 more a person increase when clearly there were not enough people to enforce the "idiot rule"  during the day sealed the deal with a bunch of us.  (flyer we were handed in FEB)We head down there every year with about 30-50 in our group alone.  We like to watch the big trucks, would perfer to be able to ride more (ATVS) when they are around but all in all we attend due to the fact there is no other events like this in the state.  HOWEVER....when the price increased to an unrealistic amount for most of the people who attend........I am thankful that another group of individuals stepped it up and brought us something fun and affordable. I will be attending the MIssion Mud and we are very proud to be supporters of this event.  Not only can we ride, race, swim. shower and most importantly be able to afford to go, this event and these people have taken the time and the initiative to listen to the people who will be attending.  I think they also have looked at the mistakes of others and are trying to prevent what has happened in the past. 

There is no need to bash the owner of MUDFest for the increase, the comments that he left were a little uncalled  (from John)  but when one gets on the defensive sometimes they say things before they think.
IT is unfotunate that it has come to this after all the years of mudfest but with the amounts of money that have been generated out  there certain things should have been done to insure a safer enviroment. 

I am not bashing anyone, i attended Mudfest and have for years.....however I am SUPPORTING MISSION MUD and if any of you all know our group we only support things that we strongly believe in.

All i've seen in this post (which is titled "Okeechobee Mudfest") is Mission Mud comments. And you say it's dumb to trash an event?

i was wondering why you insist on stirring up trouble with comments when everyone that has posted on here has stated to have a safe and fun weekend where ever you go.......then i looked up your profile and saw your age.  You are probably not going to like that comment either but that shows an immaturity on your part and you will have to deal with it. 

If  you notice this thread was also started a year ago.....i think that it pretty much can run what ever course it would like.  Seeing how you are heading to Mudfest.  We wish you a great time.  BE safe and enjoy yourself. 

lol, and whats your age? not available? lol, good one, so being almost 20 makes my comments worthless but your mystery age makes you the old wise one? I support both events including l-cross, I couldn't care less where I ride in the mud. Am I paying $100 for mudfest, fuk no. Am I driving all the way to Bamboo, fuk no. I hope both events do well though. I just find it funny how you guys support riding everywhere but since you can't afford mudfest this year, you bash it.

i am 34...no mystery.  you can ask.  And let me ask you since you are so wise.  (a couple years older than my son)   What makes you think that the people that are not going to mudfest cant afford it?  That again shows your age because NO ONE is bashing Mudfest.  You just said yourself you are not paying $100.00 to attend, good for you.  I believe all we ever said was we would not either.  hmmmm.   Think about things before you type....it will illiminate a lot of stupid posts on your part.  AGAIN.....have a wonderful weekend in what ever you choose to do.

The other site (underhills) when the cows die in, or right next to, the mudpit they just leave them there to rot. Ive seen it happen twice there at underhills/bamboo and it really disturbs me that they just leave them there.

im looking forward to mudfest, just got my last part in today for my truck. thought i wouldnt get it in on time, thank god i did get it in.             

im glad they rased the price.

1. it'll keep more of the undesirables out (crack & meth heads).
2. there should be less people zipping in and out in front of me.
3. there is 2 enterances now that should help with the traffic.
4. they have a lot better first aid, and security than any other place iv been.
5. hope to see you all there.   

Definetly have good security, all the coral springs fire guys are there.  A few buddies of mine too...

So how was the outcome? A good crowd?

the suburban ran great! went right across the hole, got stuck twice but unstuck fast.
there was not quite as many people as the last one.
still saw just as many "te tees"

The key hole isnt quite what it used to be ... its a little more fun now.   I cant wait for Labor Day weekend ... 5 days of riding.   Is the Dirty crew gona try to make it?
