Title: Osceola National Forest north of I-10 Post by: Southern Outlaw on June 16, 2007, 06:44:25 PM Talked with some officers today while riding over by 215 and asked when will the North side of I-10 reopen for riders....was told that they are in the process of remarking roads and trails and just do not have the man power to do so...need some volunteers to help out....any way I have a name and a number if anyone else is willing to help out the forest......just send me a message or a way to contact you and I'll get that info out to ya.....thanks........
also on a quick note .....fellow riders "PLEASE" stay out of the habitat ponds before they are forced to close ALL of the forest down for ATV riding.....a group of us was sitting at the truck when 2 rangers came up looking for a group of woman riding in the pits and raising hell in general..... seen the same rangers 3 hrs later and asked if they had caught them and they had not....he did info us of how close it is to getting shut down...at least the roads that have ponds next to them....referring about the clay pit on 215B about a 1/4 mile from 215/Mt. Carrie rd. parking area.... They WILL close it cause back in Feb they closed the forest over by Tallahassee to ALL motorized vehicle because of people riding or going into habitate ponds.... PLEASE....ride on the trails and not in the ponds....help keep us riding in the forest |
