Title: A Couple of Firsts Today - Mac's Fish Camp and an Outlander Post by: digginfool on May 27, 2007, 09:31:37 PM I finally took delivery of our 2007 Outlander 800 Max XT today. I knew we would have to initiate the bike immediately so we went to the dealership with the Prairie loaded on the trailer. We went directly from Broward Powersports on Sunrise in Ft Lauderdale to Mac's Fish Camp. Even though they yanked me around a little bit, in the end, Roger Taylor and Bob (Sales Manager) came through. I truly got a great deal. Anyway, this was the first time we had ever rode out at Mac's. We stayed on the North side and went West about 5 miles and then back. Since Holeylands is unavailable, Mac's is a great alternative, although at the parking area, you have the same type of crowd. The Outlander is lightyears ahead of the Prairie. I didn't expect anything less for the money but it was almost Nirvana. I have never ridden a quad that rode so well. Even though the Max is a long, heavy machine, it performed beautifully. It only got stuck once and that's because my wife is not used to riding in heavy mud (she didn't keep her momentum going into the hole). Once we get some real tires on this thing, I cannot wait to see what it is truly capable of doing. Obviously, being brand new, I wasn't about to thrash it too much but I'll give a full review after we've had it a while.

BMS sure gets a bad rap from everyone I know, but they always go back. I try never to park in the gravel on the weekends at Macks...haha...or the Holeylands for that matter. ;) |
