Alright, we have the next Eastbay race scheduled. It will be 8/25/07. This will be a Saturday night race. There will be no big cars racing that night so it will just be ATVs, Motorcycles, and Micro sprints.
Just like last time we will have a knobbie class and will be having an open invite to nonmembers. The track owner will be promoting this race heavly on his end so we hopefully will have a good spectator crowd. He also promised us a super smooth track this time. Im also still working with Speed channel to get some TV coverage. We have changed the laps raced to 6 for the heats and 8 for the main.

There were some noise complaints last time. Sprints will be allowed but they must be silenced. Quiet pipes are allowed, but no open "drag" pipes will be allowed to enter the race. Most open pipes have a 3/4" OD that most any 2 stroke silincer will slide on to. The Sprint class is limited to single cylinder engines (2 or 4 stroke), and you can either run gas or alcohol.  We are also starting a Micro sprint class within the SFTL The first points race will be june 16th and we will be following the regular SFTL schedule.

why was the heats and main laps changed?? I kinda liked the long race

There were alot of people complaining about being flat wore out. We can take a vote on it....

i like the lap change. but damn i hope someone changes the practice time also. "10min." come on man i thought i was going to die.

That will be shorter as well. You also have the option of pulling into the infield if you get to tired.

   Ahhh Eastbay is only days away. Last time we had 60 entries, how many this time?? Can wait to put a spankin on Gary again then he'll have to get another hair color! LOL! Oh and I found this pic of Gary hanging at a certain "Cafe" along interstate 75 near Gainesville...or was it at the "Sawmill"?  Only Gary knows... ;D ;D

I dont think so Dave. I havnt talked to Jeff (535Banshee) or Rick #9 but it looks like it just Bill #25 from the old Hendry gang. Most others have move on from FT.   :'(

Hey Chris, what forms of payments are you taking for the race tomorrow?  What is the gate admission as well?

will there be racing it is raining like crazy right now and it supose to rain tomarrow as well????

  don't know yet, too early to say. Forecast for Sat is scattered thundershowers so we'll just have to wait til tomorrow afternoon to see how the track is. Chris and I will be talking with the track owner about noon to see how the track is. Stay optimistic. ;D

Ok girls I am heading to the track at about noon. At 9am the track workers were disking and rolling the track. Chris should be there about 2:45. I can be reached at 813-625-6932 if there are any questions. :)

anyone have any used or new rear flat track tires they want to sell? or trade me for abrand new set of fast trekers,they are awsome trail and hill climbers. i just found a hole in my hoosier :'(.                          if you just need a kick arse set of tires $75 takes em.ialready have one set mounted that i use on my450r ,at hernando, croom etc. they blow stock tires away!i can be at eastbay tonite if interested.

So did it rain or not?  I gambled at the last minute and decided not to go  :(.  I spent days getting ready then half of a day unloading and got nothing out of it.  If you guys did get a full night in how many were in the knobby class?

Nope no rain! We had 58 entrys, Green flag was at 7pm and were out of the parking lot by 930. There were 8 in the knobbie class.

how many in the stands... what did the owner have to say ?

   The owner was very happy and has invited us again possibly in January for a bigger event with hopes of drawing in the northern flat track racers.  The stands had a little over a hundred spectators. More to come...

Had a lot of fun last night. Every race should be treated like there is rain coming. I wish every race went that smooth. You guys did a great job.

Where are the pictures? How smooth was the track?  Any wrecks this time? 

track seemed good to me. no wrecks this time. the wall was wondering where you were at.

     I did my best to keep a class on the track every minute. The show went fast and smooth and one thing that really made a difference was having all the transfers for the features figured and ready to go when the heats were over. Thanks for the compliment. ;D

I suppose that since you finished the race in record time  ;D that no one had time to take pictures.  I guess it is my fault for deciding the last moment not to go.  I will have to wait until January.

Truth is, neither one of our track protographers were at the race. There was a professional guy there but im still waiting on him to email me some pics.. i saw alot of folks snapping pics but I havent seen any either.

Sorry, I didn't get any pics.  Eastbay isn't the easiest track to get pictures.  There are 2 fences in the way and that makes it diffucult to get any pics.  There was an area last time I took pics at, but they roped it off, safety reasons I guess.
