Title: Re: 250ex performance upgrades Post by: taino_racing on June 22, 2007, 08:52:02 PM we have 3 2006 250ex and so far the best exhaust system has been hmf, its alot bigger than stock.u can run an xr250 carb(27mm) stock carb(22mm).it bolts right in.some minor work.(u can see all parts required at atvriders.com then go to atv smaller than 350cc)u will see my write up and pics. also found that any bar clamp from 300ex,400ex 450r will work on the 250ex.xtremme manufacturing on ebay has the best and least expensive bumpers, nerf bars, skid plates, etc.

Step up to a 300ex or 400ex. You would be money ahead.
Title: Re: 250ex performance upgrades Post by: F3RR3T on June 27, 2007, 06:36:52 PM ya this is f3rr3ts son you would be better off getting a bigger bike unlike me i was stubborn and put all the above into my bike and some other engine work and just the engine has cost me about 1200.
that yet leaves my suspension and tires by the time im done plus the price of my quad ill be at about 8500. one thing to keep in mind is the 250ex will not excede 60 mph do to not being able to change gear ratios. but if your hard on about builden your 250 and want to go faster than 60 let me know i have rear ring and pinion gears being made in cad. which should bump are speed are speed up to about 75mph Title: Re: 250ex performance upgrades Post by: FoxHondaRider on June 27, 2007, 07:03:00 PM for the 250ex I would recomend the HMF full only $285 then for jets and k&n airfilter its about $80. Thats the best thing to get. Other than performance I would suggest to get a A-arm extension $180 and real wheel spacers $130. You can get the HMF off their website www.hmfengineering.com (http://www.hmfengineering.com)and the k&n and jets I would recomend getting at rockymountainwww.rockymountainatv.com (http://www.rockymountainatv.com), motosport is more expensive for the filter you will save at rockymountain for those. Then the A-arm extensions and rear wheel spacer can be found at www.diamondjcustoms.com (http://www.diamondjcustoms.com) Performance and Widening for under about $700.
