I rode at Mack's Saturday It was ok. Today (Sunday) we road at Lost Lake (8th street just south of the PIT BBQ)it was the bomb diggity. Saturdays rain worked wonders it was great for sport quads , 4x4 and UTE alike. That was some of the best ridding Ive done in a long time.

No heat. Its pretty big I think if you always drive to macs you might wanna check this place to.Its on 157th and 8st.You go down the dirt road and you can park around the lake.I always used to go to this place late like at 1-2 am always on weekends. Its awesome when your out there by yourself. But now I definately reccomend you dont ride by yourself. Its really muddy. And if you get hungry you have BBQ pit.I like it better when theres knowone there so try going during the week.

Yeah, its only 20 minutes more for me if that. I like the sound of the BBQ pit also. Thanks for posting this up.
I'm going to try and check it out this week.

When I used to ride in that area back around 1984-85 we used to call it Hidden Lake. We called Lost lake a place we used to ride west of Flamingo blvd. in Broward. JackL you might want to go and try it out. The only bad thing is the PIT BBQ don't take kindly to ATVr's due to the @zzholes that runt it for the rest of us. But just park off to the side and don't drag mud into the place then there ok.

I forget what we called that area at Flamingo, but one time at that place Wayne Huizinga ran us off with a helicopter there just before they built the stadium! That was a cool place I forgot about.
Progress has sure wrecked the riding here.

Post by: cubanprep24 on May 23, 2007, 08:44:13 PM
ill be there either with a raptor350 or king quad because it is going to be hard to squeeze both into the 8 foot trailer. any suggestions?

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: snowmanzz13 on May 23, 2007, 08:56:50 PM

Title: Re: down south?

haha lol, the trailer is 5 feet wide and 8 feet long, and it is open

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: snowmanzz13 on May 23, 2007, 09:12:20 PM
oh, if it's open, and you have a ramp, drive them fro the side and hang them over the railings if you hve railings, it can be done!!! lol there is alwasys omeone who has to be creative with their packing

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: cubanprep24 on May 23, 2007, 09:17:10 PM
yea well i have no ramps but me and my dad can lift the raptor.. but idk . anything else lol?

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: cubanprep24 on May 24, 2007, 07:29:38 AM
?

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: snowmanzz13 on May 24, 2007, 08:11:15 AM
you might have to man handle that raptor and push it to the front of thee trailer sideways haning off the railings, then push the other up right behind it almost pushing it forward and barely on the trailer then you would need tons of tie downs lol, i would only put the raptor sideways if you have railings!! and are you towing behind a truck? or suv? or car?

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: cubanprep24 on May 24, 2007, 04:09:28 PM
sounds good, an suv

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: cubanprep24 on May 25, 2007, 09:05:30 PM
after a whole freakin 2 hours trying to fit the atvs in the trailer, we couldnt fit them so it looks like were taking 1 at a time tommorw

Title: Re: down south?
Post by: Palmettobay_recon on May 25, 2007, 09:31:24 PM
haha lol, the trailer is 5 feet wide and 8 feet long, and it is open
I think you could do it...we fit a recon and a big bear on a 5x8 trailer but it takes ALOT of muscle and about an hour to load LOL but a new trai;er is coming soon.(http://)http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k271/roughridinrecon/DSCN2234.jpg

First we made ramps out of some 8inch wide wood planks and we put some metal brackets on to hold onto the like 1inch lip of the trailer to securely drive up on. So first we drive the big bear on as forward on the trailer as possible and it barely fits in the 5 feet. Then we strap it down with 4 ratchet straps (doesnt move at all), and for the recon we get creative, since the tires stick above the trailer we cant drive it on sideways so we place the ramps to the far left of the back of the trailer then we back the recon about half way on, put on the parking brake then lift it and turn it sideways next to the big bear, but we have to turn the wheels all the way so it doesnt rub and it leaves about a half inch between the front tire and the trailer tire.

well, i was there but not very fun as it was extra dry compared to last weekend, but we did go out for a while out to holiday park and that out and around to the boat ramp side of the parking area, had a good time untill we got 2 flats, the banshee called it quits for an unknown reason after i lost the clutch,  :'( and my friends uncle got a nail through one of the lugs on his almost brand new 450r's wheel, we learned we are never parking over by the boat ramp with the amount of nails out there from burnt up pallets

I was out there today and it was HOT and DRY, I was just wondering who eles was out there. I managed to find some wet spots back off the boat ramp. What makes me very mad is the people who have to speed up and down the road back to the fish camp and get it ruined for the rest of us. Heres some photos of how dry it was.

I was there this past Saturday with a buddy and it was a bit dry. We rode the powerlies all the way to 41st St. and back. We hit up a bunch of the trails and ended up behind the track. It was a bit boring out there , not much to do.

BTW , I was out there on my blue Raptor and my buddy has a Special Edition yellow one.

I know all that wind didn't help either. I'm sure if you go far enough south it HAS to be wet and nasty still.
Where your truck was was wet and deep just a few weeks ago. This drought REALLY sucks. We are never going to see the Holeylands open again at this rate, and I figure the south side of the alley doesn't have much more time left either.

BRING on the RAIN!!!!
