Title: Consequences of riding
Post by: FLSnake on January 09, 2005, 05:28:58 AM
We have several new housing developments around where we live, several areas where the roads have not been cut yet just alot of dirt roads and stuff. What are the legal consequences if you get caught riding in these areas, I looked hard and didn't find any signage saying no trespassing. Doesn't seem like the construction crews are around on the weekends. If I would most likely just get a warning if caught it might be worth it.

Trespassing on a construction site is a felony and most contractors will press charges because there are so many thefts.

It is a serious offense. You will lose your bike (if not permanently, at least for a long time), spend thousands and have a nice little 3rd degree felony on your record.
