I come down the turnpike to the end which is US 1 go about one mile on the right you will see The Last Chance Saloon at Cardsound Road and US 1. I park at the field next to the saloon and cross over US 1 and Cardsound road is right there. Follow the path to the dirt road on the left (not far) go down the dirt road and there you are. Pick a trail and ride. Be prepared to get muddy.

only one mud hole, its dry right now. thats the directions to the south side. (card sound road) the north side is went you get off a the turnpike at the first light (you see a miami subs) you turn left at the light. there go down about 3.5 miles. has you get to the back of the race track (homestead) on the right you will see a dirt road, that road will take you to the south side and bunch of trails on the side.

I have never been to the north side. Is it the same as turkey point or run not sure what it is called. When is the next time you are going riding ?

The blue line that is shown coming from the north is actually in the swamp and there is no road there. The racetrack is a few more miles east of there. The high school is on 167 ave (Tennessee Rd).

Well it sounds like we need to get a ride together out there. Who is up for it ??

Me and the boys will be bringing about 5 trikes on 12-26.

how's the mud out there ya think stock tires on my foreman will be ok or do i need some mud tires

This was my second trip out here, last time was when it was wet in November. I learned that you can be easily fooled. Some places looked Dry as a bone  (cracked mud and all), but  under is very deep slick mud. I saw a few Stuck 4x4's and as I pulled over to the side, I went right in  Some kid even lost a boot. :P

I want to say thanks for a great time at the humps.  it was a fun filled day with getting stuck and pulling others out.  and seeing some upsets i feel sorry for this guy. but think he is ok.

hey pals is there any spots out there where i can ride a foreman with stock tires with out gettin stuck every five mins
thinking of going for first time this weekend

go to the high school and go across the streat its a lil dirt road and its all dry but there sum mud not a lot but sum that you can go throw whit a stock tires

This place sounds pretty good, "This could be the next badluck / squares.    We should set up a group ride  ;D Guys ... please, lets keep this place clean !

its just a matter of time before they close this place to. people go out there to dump trash or to go shooting. its a fun place. the dirt road from ther north goes long ways in, with trails off the main road.the north side as a pipe gate at the enterance, but its never lock. That area will see houses being build there after all the projects on the turnpike are done. maybe a year or less. its the best time right now. little mud, but mostly dirt and our second florida state bird that bites are gone. ride it now

ok we r gonna try to make it to the humps next weekend we  have no way of coming up this weekend but will try very hard for next weekend

The place is ok but not worth the drive if you are more that 30 minutes away.

where do you ride? that the best place if you live in Miami area or south florida.

thats the only place we have rode so far
we will b riding other places as soon as we get our new 4x4 truck

I gave up ATV riding a few months ago, I had been atv riding on and off for 24 years. After going out to the humps about 4 times I was totally bored with it. Things got so bad around here with riding areas closing and the authorities stopping everyone that I gave it up and bought a street bike.

I miss the quad but have a pretty good time on the bike.

Geeze.. I hope I don't get too bored with it. I live in Ft.Lauderdale and ewl with people, peopl and city traffic all week long Mon - SAT. Sunday is my day to get out into the woods..SO the  hour ride really doesn't bother me anymore.
Tommoro should be great weather again. This week I have learned NOT to park near the race track, but instead  off cardsound RD.
 If you see me out there with my Camera.. be sure to smile. I usually only take pics of people who are stuck...

i went out there to day it was fun there was mud up to my wast at the mud hole whit the cars got my shee stuck out there to i need to sell my sport atv and get a 4x4

what kind of riding out there

I made it out today and what started as a good day ( nice weather, early start, dry trails etc) was doomed  at about 2 pm. I was getting cocky after going through ruts and puddles. I made a dash across a slightly wet spot under the powerlines and BAM! I got buried. My back wheels actually disappeared under the wet mud. It was kind of a slow day here and No one was around.. I decided to pull it out myself (Big Mistake). I walked around and found some old pallets. I managed to sink a pallet behind the quad and was able to stand there without sinking. I lifted the back end up and out of the mud with a loud suction sound.
 At this point I was so out of breath and performed a physical act that I have not done in 12 years (I am 37 years old). I though I was having a heart attack. I had to lay down. I made it back to truck and that was enough.
I learned a few things...
Don't ride alone... Don't go places you 'Think" you can make it through.... and Don't get old

I have to drive an hour and a half to get there and for that far of a drive I enjoy it. It all depends on how you ride when your there to get bored or not. I'm strictly a water and mud type of guy who gets bored of trail riding. My bike is done up pretty good and I can ride fairly well to handle riding with sport quads through trails and stuff but i choose not too. The same distance away is river ranch were i'm a member and i can ride forever there but for a day ride the humps is a pretty good place to ride. I wish i can get down there one day when everyone else is going who enjoys it so it can be a fun filled day but some days i can't make it. I enjoy it and as long as i'm there i can help the unfortunate who wanna play in the mud and get stuck cause i'll always lend them my rope or cable and be more then glad to pull them out numerous times. Also those who run outta breath....klx110rider lol.

It is so dry out there, almost any bike could make it.
We need rain really really bad.

OK WE R ABOUT 95 % WE WILL B AT THE HUMPS ON  SUNDAY BUT WILL B MOST LIKELY ON 2 BIKES THIS TIME.....WE R TRADING IN MY 2X4 RALLY AND GETTING A 4004X4 2SEATER  SO WHEN WE HAVE RELATIVES FROM THE NORTH THEY CAN ENJOY THE WOODS WITH US  LOL

my wife and i both ride 650 rincons and my daughters ride a 350 rancher and my youngest has a trx 90.

When do you guys right out at the hump???

My buddy was out there last night he says it getting better little by little, by that I mean more water and mud

I went out to the hump last night and its getting better, we have mud now, and there are some nasty holes if you look for them.

we where out their with some freinds last night until about 1 am and when we left we ran into the game warden, he was stopping people from riding out the east entrence to the hump because some idiots where riding there trucks in the farmers feilds, so we where told since they did that they where going to start kicking us out of their.Remember people it not leagle to ride their and so far the cops have left us alone but it's stupid things like this that are losing us our riding areas. besides how would you feel if some came along and destroyed your sorce of income. >:(

It's only a matter of time before this place is gone. I happen to drive by last week and was nearly ran off the road by some jackasses drag racing and riding wheelies on the street by the north side entrance. It's for these reasons that I sold my quad and got out of the sport

well all we couldnt make it due to hubby's friend is using the trailer  to tote our bikes   so maybe next time

Well it is not the 4 wheeler people they are worried about, its the people that go and hang out at the fire and start trouble.
As long as you stay out of the farm feilds they wont mess with you.

Last week I was sitting out by the fire on Saturday during the day and FWC came by and asked us what we were doing, we said riding, he said you have any weapons and we said no, then he said where did you park and we said at Jacks bait and tackle, He said ok have a nice day, he did not even care that we drove across Us1 to get there, so there not worried about the 4 wheelers.

The problem is they cant tell whos trouble and whos not so if things get bad enough they just toss us all out. [smiley=ThumbsDown.gif]

I saw them dumb asses in a 4x4 ford 250 (probably stolen). They were driving like idiots. I should have called the cops on them. They were jumping the truck on the main road of the humps. Actually jumping the humps. Morons! Next time, I will call the cops, for sure.

I know they cant tell whos who, but stay away from the fire pit area and ride, most of the problems usually start in that area. Who wants to ride up and down that rode anyways if you have a 4 wheeler you usually want to ride it, not sit around the fire.
