Everyone sooooo quite the week before a race... :-\

Alright time to man up! Who's going to Eastbay this Sunday? Are ya racing or watching?
We still have SFTL t shirts for sale and I will be selling 50/50 tickets half goes to the league half goes to you.

         Also, If we get a good turnout at this race. We will try and schedule another one.
I have contacted speedvision and they are interested in filming it and putting on a show called (On the edge" its sponsored my Lucas oil. But in order to do that we need we need to be on our best behavior so were accepted back. If you see anyone fighting, vandalising propertly, ETC please get me ASAP so I can show them where the exit is. ;)

As of right now Ronnie, Alan, and I are in. Ronnie will be racing the knobbie class on my R. I'll try and get a hold of Walter and make sure hes still planning on making it out.

Cool! Ronnie is a nut.. it should be VERY interesting to see him race....

I've been trying to convince him for months to put a stock swinger back on his old rag and come race with us...I'm hoping this will get him motivated  :D

So who am I going to beat in the knobby class?  Better bring your "A" game because I am bringing mine.

I watched the lucas on the edge the oher night. They had 2 wheelers doing a  FT. Cant remember where but it was cool to watch. The Naples crew will be up - Rob. He said to tell Dave he will whoop him next time..lol.

Guys, I had a lot of fun today.  Never would of thought that you could take a 450 with knobbies and have it pegged in fifth gear going into a corner.  Although I spun once and then in the race I hit the wall I still had ALOT of fun!!!

Thanks to all for having a gathering without a single fight and I think no one (maybe the girl on the 50cc dirtbike) got hurt.  With those kind of speeds you would think that there would of been more wrecks, thankfully there wasn't.  Hopefully Todd will invite us back!!

I want to know if the "new guy" showed up to back up his smack talk ???????

    In case some of you didn't hear the news....
-we had 60 entries and even without the gadgets we still had 51 which is a new attendence record!
-no crashes except the peewee that got into some loose stuff up high
-the league made some extra cash towards year end
-we gained some new members
-Todd has invited us back for a Sat night race
-we never saw a drop of rain until the last class was exiting the track
    Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the track and the league!

That was alot of fun. Even with knobbies and the wrong suspension setup. What about the two crashes during the warm up lap of the very last race.

     I've already been hearing people say they were completely exhausted because the track was so fast in the corners. I myself feel like I just rode a hare scramble. I think I'm taking today off!

man i feel like someone just kicked my a$$. i had a really good time racing with all you guys. i had a real fast bike in the vet class but the rearend locked up in the second heat. oh well i guess thats racing.

I went to dade yesterday day and slapped them around for everyone

Yes, I too feel like I got ran over by a train.  I was already sore from practice on Thursday from Dade City.  We will see if I make it to Dade City Thursday night  ???

I had a great time out there guys!! ha you feal tired!! try waking up at 4am driving to Tampa (from georgia) then racing, then driving to Frt Myers to drop off something after the race then driving back to Georgia! arival :2am! HA! but seriously that track was awesome! and I dont feal sore in the least! lol any way here is the trike standing from the race

The open experts were fast as hell. Hats of to Bud for dialing it in for the main event. Dave and Bill had a awesome race Battling for 1st. Wile they ran 3 or 4 laps side by side Bud ran them down and thru it in 3 wide in turns 3 and 4 with 2 laps to go. Bud came out on top by a half of quad or so for the win.
I had a blast in the vet class. The old 4 poke just doesn't get around as fast as that 2 smoker i had.  :'(
Doesn't matter anyway because I couldn't hold on anymore with the g's pulling and being out of shape..lol. I second the pain.. :ouch.gif

Chris, great job keeping the show rolling. You guys are a class act.

Thanks Matt!  Im sore too! I have a nice sunburn and my ankles are killing me! Things were moving so fast I only had breakfast at 7 am and then dinner at 9pm...  I tried running it like the AMA Flat Track races do and It worked very well. I dont think we had to wait on any riders. Thanks to you guys for being ready to go when called, it really made things go quickly.  A BIG FAT THANKS goes out to Liz Sisson. Since my wife was in the hospital, Liz jumped in and created all the line ups and that really heped me a great deal. Thanks Liz!

NO KIDDING! mine is flat this morning, and it never went flat before, theres hole treads ripped off mine!

Congrats to all the winners. That open class main was probably the best race I've watched so far this season, 3 wide in turn 4 on the last lap is pretty awesome. I had a good time, but I found out how out of shape I really am after racing on that track. My R finally ran perfect and then I couldn't keep up with it::) In the main I was pretty much holding on for dear life, could barely hold on and was having a hell of a time turning the handle bars. I actually was grabbing the bar up past the clutch perch putting part of my arm parallel on the outside of it (not even on the grip) to try and get more leverage so my worn out azz could make the turns. I think I'm gonna go take out a gym membership this week

I hung out with my wife and family this weekend, so I had no time to go "racing for fun and trophies".
Instead of talking smack about me, feel fortunate me and my crew didn't show up and make your "open" class look bad. I'll be sure to be at your next race, just let me know when and where.

Since the Swainsboro race was cancelled, are you rescheduling somewhere else, or just eliminating that race altogether?

Well, since the next race is at Thunderbowl, then I think the tracks bike wants in on your money race. No big deal, it's just a local rider on a 250R. No sweat for a bad a$$ pro rider like you. Dig deep because I can go as far as you want to take it big baller $$. 

Also, I haven't spoke to him, but the guy that owns the #32 250R will get in on it also. He rolls deep, so count him in as well.

Ooh, now we're getting somewhere! I don't care how much. Name it. The other guy, 450R_MATT, told me to put my money where my fingertips are, so I say BRING IT! Just be smart about it... I'd hate to hear someone got their double wide repo'd because they bet on a race instead of paying the slum lord.

A local yokel on an old 250R huh? A few track stickers don't make it a race bike my friend. The 32 bike you're talking about looks like a dinosaur as well. Well, guess what?   How'd I get drug into this? Yeah maybe you have a point about getting a better rider for the banshee but if you were there racing instead of watching you would know most of us were tired and wore out. The guy that owns the #32 bike and the guy that owns the track in Ocala has a bike, and both have agreed to put up $10,000.00 on their respective riders.  Apparently some young punk named Bud rides the 32 bike and some half a$$ed pro MX guy named Dave rides the tracks bike. I think neither one of these bike owners with inflated egos realize I'm fixin' to take their money. What about you menstrualosity, you want in? can you even count that high? Since your so fast, we might even let you in for less cash, but take your bike instead. And don't be throwin Farr and Little's name around like you're homeboys, you damn groupie. Oh, and the blue Banshee in the pictures? Well, whoever rides that heap can bring it too if hes got the sack. I gotta brother in law name Ju-Ju that would love to put a stretched swinger on that thing and take it back to Chicago to drag race the other brotha's with it.  Where's that 450Matt guy at? Well stroker.. When I have another break from racing my Limited late Model at Hendry, I will be up to run at Thunderbowl. If you got a Dirt Car then bring it out there and we can race for $$$ Go and get some practice laps in the mean time. See if you can hang with them. Ill put my money on the ocala rider #32. How much money are you willing to loose? I'll check the schedule and then when I come up we can race for pink slips on the quads if that works. 

Hey stroker, I don't bet on quads but I gotta "ballzack" proposition for you. Since your such a great rider, why don't you get on a REAL machine, and come race with the rolling insane asylum known as the trike class at the next race? I might even put up some money if you decide to grow a set and get on the track with us.

A "limited" late model? Yawn. Why bother? They're hardly more than a street stock. You really want to race late models?. I still own a Super Late Model back home that my brothers been running. When you step up to a real car like a Super Late Model or Outlaw Sprint, call me I can arrange you a race with some serious players. Be warned though, you will need some serious bank to run with these guys.

I can appreciate you 3 wheeler guys bucking the norm, and riding the vintage '80s iron. Hey, whatever floats your boat! However you can keep your ATC's, Duran Duran tapes, and parachute pants to yourselves. I race QUADS. 3 wheelers interest me about as much as a turd in my pool.   

All these "counter offers" to race cars, 3 wheelers, etc. are entertaining, but for what? Why don't we sword fight? or drag race helicopters? or wrestle lions? blah,blah,blah.
We're talking about QUAD racing. Lets keep our eye on the ball.   

Also, I've been renting the Ocala track for the past couple of days to dial my set ups in. We'll be finishing fine tuning shocks and exhaust out there tomorrow. All I can tell you is whoever runs with me out there is THROUGH. I've got all of my quads set, so all I can say is BRING IT. I've met a few locals like the guy that works out there (I think he said flag man?), the track owner, and a guy stopped by with a white Quadzilla (I don't remember his name?) Clean a$$ Suzuki though. Not too many people have the spine to race those anymore.

the guy is fast o wait am i still aloud to post? well anyway if u guys want to know he busted a 72mph on front staight that was i think 2 mph faster then little john and he rides like bud up high and hammered down.. he is good but i dont know how he will handle traffic...but first and for most i know brady is putting down some cash against this guy and there is others but please guys no and i mean no fighting or anything like that on the grounds yall wait untill u go to dunkin doughnuts or what ever... ive been real busy and havent had time to get on here but after reading all this wow... u guys b carefull and ill b watching all of u, u to big man... :box.gif :no :gh :F

This bunch is the real deal.

There are 4 guys that come to Thunderbowl who are consistently the fastest guys out there: Dave Ware, Scott, Bud, and Dave Bohnstadt.
These new guys (there were 3 guys riding, but the big guy was the fastest)were turning faster straightaway top speeds, and faster lap times by right around 2 seconds per lap. This is FLYING on our track. I have clocked all the other riders in the past, and I was watching Ray and their crew chief type guy clock these guys today. Impressive to say the least. They ride 4 stroke quads, but I'm not sure what kind? From what I saw they looked custom built with Honda motors. Again, I'm not sure. Bud and Dave B. are going to have their work cut out for them on this one.

Hey, track guys, don't be telling all our info. I don't want these goofy hillbillies tuckin' their tails and running away.

And, for the record, my fastest top speed today was 74 mph, and my fastest lap time was 13.1 sec. I was told this is faster than the sprint cars that run there. These numbers were put down on a dry slick track, with a half azz dialed in quad. Tomorrow will only be faster.

Well how do you test and tune all day and type smack on the forum at the same time? O, I guess you have wireless conection and pull off the track and get on the pc right away to talk more smack? What roundy round tracks have you run and where? Hurry up and make up some more stories..Fictional for sure.. BTW... like I tell all the other northerners..."we dont care how you did it back home".    Blahhhhaaa!

I did meet some guys when I was at TB but this guy was no 6'9".  Maybe 6'4" or 5. Im 6'3" and he was a tad taller than me. He seemed kinda ok. He checked out my zilla and that was about it.  From what I saw he and his friends had done this type racing before cause they where fast. I didnt time them or anything. Just watched alittle. Didnt get to see there bikes real close cause they parked off by themselfs. I was busy with my own bikes anyway. Thats all I can add to this.

Im going to try. The wife wasnt too crazy about me racing at Eastbay. She said we cant afford to do both. I would like to come up and race. maybe watch a local take on the stroke story? Ha! I would love to see Bud roost some clay in his face.  :o   The open riders are going to have to deal with the #25 again, he will be their. 

Man This is great!! There hasn't been this much excitement in a while. I don't think I can make every race in the series but I'll be at Ocala for the next race. I hope we have all the big dogs come out..... 8)

I wish I lived closer so I could come and watch you guys race. I don't think my XC quad would do so well, but I would like to try out flat track one day.

13.1 @ 74mph??  your 10mph faster in the corners then anybody, ever??  :N casue 74mph top speed dont = 13.1 laptimes unless you are 10mph faster in the corners... this I got to see !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !!  8)

Well here is a little video that was shot from my camera. Watch the out of shape rider (me) on the red 450 fade after a few laps then get a hand cramp. lol I got 4th because 5th and 6th DNF..lol Not too bad for a stock 450 with a pipe againest those big motors and 330 2 smoker.
