Title: Closure of 46.33 acres in the ONF??

The National Forest in Florida just closed on 46.33 acres adjacent to Lake Nicotoon on the Ocala.  Dr. Tom Carr, who often vacation on this property with his family, generously donated the tract. This is just one of the many projects this philanthropic family has done in the name of conservation.

The deal would not have happened without the pro bono assistance from The Nature Conservancy and the expertise of Brian Block.  Brian worked closely with Dr. Carr, the Forest Service, and the title company to resolve several of the complexities associated with this deal. Special thanks also goes out to Wendi McAleese with American Government Services who acted as the closing agent. A celebration ceremony will take place in the near future.

That was nice of the family to donate the property. I wonder what the forestry will do with it in the future. I guess grow palmetto berries.

Thank you for the post. This will be needed for the primtive campers for hunting season.
