Title: New to FL, Seeking sand dunes!!! Post by: CrfThumpster250r on April 22, 2007, 09:59:37 PM Hello fellow riders,
I just moved to fl from washington state last year.. I recently bought a crf 250r and have been riding at our 300 acre private company dirt pit. Its great but I have been having withdrawls from the HUGE oregon sand dunes. I miss the camping, the riding, the over all good times. Is there anyone who can point out some good spots... I am looking for: Sand Dunes Hill Climbs Big Air wide open free riding. I need places to go big and good camping for our wives. Thank you Title: Re: New to FL, Seeking sand dunes!!! Post by: sbripple on April 23, 2007, 06:56:15 AM get over it .No dunes here .Very few legal places to ride. The only hills are either levies or dumps. On the good side ,mud is fun to ride in.Why not try something new and get a mud machine. We have a blast.

There is nothing east of the Mississippi except for Silver Lake in Michigan that is even remotely close to the Oregon dunes. Good luck. Title: Re: New to FL, Seeking sand dunes!!! Post by: eldiablo64 on April 26, 2007, 07:09:07 PM unfortunately if there were any sand dunes in florida they would probably be classified as enviromentally sensitive and would be off limits anyway :(

Title: Re: New to FL, Seeking sand dunes!!! Post by: greenmachine on April 29, 2007, 10:56:41 AM Too bad you werent here last year. Sand Mountain was awesome until the county shut them down. Huge sand hill with vertical climbs as close as you would have ever got to what your used to, just not as large of an area. Hopefully one day they will reopen. Search it & you may find some pics on her of the place. The track had some huge jumps there too.
