Title: Re: davie Post by: 500runner on February 07, 2005, 09:19:59 AM NO place to ride in DAVIE unless your dad , ownes alot of private property there or, your riding a horse then its ok. the other place is north on US 27 at holleyland and you better have a nice 4x4 quad set up to ride there.......... 8)
Title: Re: davie Post by: Powelljlk on February 08, 2005, 07:29:33 AM You can ride at The Holyland WMA if ya dont mind a 30-40 min drive. Take 75 west to 27 north. Go about 20-30 minutes north and you will see the signs. Follow to area. There isnt amy jumps, but it is a place for some muddin and just ridin.

The FWC is out there alot ticketing people, and the state is closing off the entrance we use to get in. They have also went so far as to knock down trees to block some of the trails. Title: Re: davie Post by: Powelljlk on February 09, 2005, 06:32:37 AM Its not lost lake, its Holyland. It is also not even near the turnpike.

Title: Re: davie Post by: Powelljlk on February 10, 2005, 05:35:23 AM You could get stuck alot, depending on experience and of course, tire condition. There are normally quit a few people out there to assist in pulling you out should you get buried. Who knows, I might be out there. When are you going. A few tips.
1). If you ride on the south side of the levy, have a flag attached to your ride. 2). Dont speed down the gravel roads on each side of the levy. 3). If ya want, you can drive your truck till you reach the end of the levy and park there, then unload and ride. 4). Please clean up any trash you leave. Thanks! Here's a link to fill you in on some of the area. http://myfwc.com/recreation/holey_land/recreation.asp Just copy and paste to your address bar. Have fun and good luck! Title: Re: davie Post by: SoFlaEiger on February 16, 2005, 08:50:17 AM I ride down at Macks Fish Camp every weekend. It's all private property and I'm friends with the owner so FWC can't really do too much unless you're doing something really illegal. In fact, last night FWC was sittin on his property just hanging out and i ended up talkin with the officer for a bit about some of the trails and what not.
If you want to know where it is, Email or PM me. I also live in Davie and ride a Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4. My 3000lb winch is in the mail :) It can get pretty thick back there if you don't have 4x4 or some big tires. Title: Re: davie Post by: rubicon500kid on February 17, 2005, 08:09:44 PM cool thanks my bike is no good so i got to use my lil sis but i can proble hamg whit the 4x4 its only a 125 but oh well ill have my z in a feww weeks how do you get there
