Title: Volunteer Trail Ranger program/ Jr Trail Ranger Program
Post by: GrizzlyBear on April 08, 2007, 07:46:00 AM
The Trail Ranger program is looking for members to work at the Trailheads and patrol the trails on your ATV's. We are looking for people willing to give 8 hours per month. In return for this committment, you will receive free camping for the weekend at either Lake Delancy or Big Scrub (depending on where you volunteer), $25.00 per day to cover expenses, be covered by USFS Workman's compensation and when the anticipated fee structure goes into effect, you will be exempt. Volunteers will work in teams of 2 or more.  The first training willbe Saturday, April 14th(we have room for 6 more) and then be the first Saturday of each month. Training is at the OHV Center.  Currently the trailheads on the Wandering Wiregrass and at Rodman are nearing completion.  Junior Trail Rangers will receive the same benefits.  They must be 16 or over, have their parents permission and will always work with an adult trail ranger.  Anyone interested, please pm me.
