its almost done all it needs is an exhaust, i started with a 2000 ez go gas i got for free, i found in in a drainage canal and had to pull it out, it had no engine. so i bought a rotax 503 sled motor on ebay for $350. so far ime and my brother probly have about $650 to $700 in it.

it goes about 40 and smokes a rhino 450, i havent raced the 660 yet, but it takes the 450 pretty bad.

I know you said it did not have an engine, when you found it, but was it set up for a gas engine or electric ?

Does it matter.. I would like to put together a gas one.. The place i work at has an electric one, that is alright, but im told the battery's are EXPENSIVE and there are bout 6 of em..

it was origionaly gas, wich makes the drive system super easy to hook up. the cvt setup on a sled is just like the cvt on a stcok gas cart, im using the origional ez-go secondary clutch and it works fine with the ski doo primary.

That thing must go faster than 40 because I have a 450  rhino and it goes 38-39mph on gps,
I like it! throw a cage and some seat belts on that thing  you could have a blast in the woods, Hows the suspenstion?

Wow that this is awsome. The only thing I would be concerned about is the cooling system. Are you using a water cooled set up or is it just air?

it is air cooled, and i try not to overheat it but, it runs prety hot.

the suspension isnt that great but better than i would expect for leaf springs, it corners decent because its pretty low to the ground and is fairly light compared to a rhino.

I wish I had that much time on my hands. Looks cool as hell. Just don't get hurt.

if you want to start a project, than ez go gas is going to definitly be the easyest, i dont think club cars rear end can handle 50hp like the ezgos rear end... also honda 25hp are suposed to drop rite in place with very litle mods to the mounting system.

we got 40 on the gps at about 7000 rpm wich is a litle over redline, but iv had it all the way to 9000 , it may not be lifted but its low center gravity makes drifting it prety easy

I bet it would handle alot better with an ATV's front tires instead of the rear..

Did you have to do any welding to fit it in?

nope, it has a front peice that mounts to the stock skidplate that we cut about 6 inches off and hung 2 L brackets to the ski doo mounting plate and used 1 inch square bar between the reer mounting tabs and the mounting plate to gain some carb clearence, the bigest issue is that the shifter on the reer end hits the carb and im afraid im gona rip the intake boot. i have about 100$ in hardwere store expenses including gas line, hardwere, brackets, drill bits, taps, wiring, switches, ect.

thats the stock exhaust of my atv too, i ordered a stock ski doo exhaust for it wich is suposed to be quiet...

keyword: supposed lol.  That would be a good day to find a golfcart in a ditch.

People just throw junkie golf carts and ATVs around your property? lol.  I know why they ended up in the ditch, the 01 tells me they were dukes of hazzarding it.

got the new pipe on and it isnt as quiet as i hoped but it performs way better. video doesnt do it justice it runs awsome with the tuned pipe.

kinda gets in the way but it isnt very noticible when your in it.

also a piece of the outer layer on the belt chipped off, you dont think it will snap if i ride it?

Hah, I love this golf cart its insane.  That pipe will act as a good heater on those cold days so thats a +.  If the belt is ripped or damaged in anyway it will put alot of stress and eventually will break.

I'm gona order a new one but i hope it will last until the new one git's here

the gps siad 40 even at about 8000 rpms, i can get 9000 out of it if i want to, but it takes so long for the gps to pick up on the speed id blow it up before the gps shows the speed

new video is better but you have to get a video of u on the back road and climbing that hill back there

i will eventually, i gota order a new belt, after one ride today another piece broke off of it, i think its because the clutch engages faster than the secondary and it stretches the belt, il get a video of it free revving in neutral youl see what i mean.

when did you notice the belt was chiped

when i heard a ding and looked back to see a little black thing fly out the back, the engine was moving when you revved it and the whole thing sat a little crooked and about 1/4" too far left, so i took the whole engine out again and completely revised my mounting system, it should be much stronger.

the engine has been in and out of this thing at least 20 times in the last 2 weeks, hopefully this will be the last time lol.

Knock on wood it isnt another 20times lol.  Do you plan on leaving it the way it is or are you doing any more modifications to it?

just the new engine mounting plate and maybe a cht guage, and maybe some sort of airbox eventualy.

wrap that pipe w/ some of that header heat tape , might be easier on your leg's.

its realy not as bad as the pics make it look...

cylinder  head  temperature, CHT.

tells you how hot the engine is.

lol, we started that thing today, the sparkplug was crap, it had barely any gas, no filter, carb was filthy, put a pair of vice grips on whats left of the broken off kikstart shaft, barely turned it and it fired rite up lol. i couldn't stop laughing. I made it all the way down the street b4 i let it die and couldn't turn it over again

where the heck do you guys get allthes beaters?there so cool haha i found a moped that looked like that one back in my woods but somebody blew up the gas tank and the seat melted and stuff

people just offer me all kinds of crap because they know i can niger rig just about any piece of crap to run

just got back from riding and the cops busted 2 kid on those dirt hills in the enterance told us we could ride at EXT

why don't you just tell me when you ride the first time.
