Lottery winning fraud in the mail Post by: 1FasterBlaster on April 03, 2007, 02:02:25 PM There is a mail scam going out to everyone for up to $120,000. dollars.They send you a check to deposit for like $2,000. dollars and tell you when it clears to send it to their tax office with a supplied address to cover state taxes, then they'll send you your winning amount.
DON'T DO IT !! The check will clear, and after the bank finds out it's a fake company, your account will go under investigation by the I.R.S. This is a confirmed scam by the Sherriff's dept.I got the letter and check, then called the Sherriff.Be warned. Title: Re: WARNING!!
