Title: replaced front pads, now brakes are kinda soft ? Post by: demj1308 on March 31, 2007, 01:52:55 PM I just replaced the front pads on my 06 bruin 350, the original pads were gone after 25 hrs. Everything went fine, but now the front brake doesn't seem as strong as it was, still stop but not as well as the old pads. The lever feels solid, i never opened the system so i dont think it needs bleeding, do the new pads need some time to break in ?, i used sintered pads as i heard the last longer ? I did not remove the cap on the hydraulic reservoir when i squeezed the pistons back, could that be a problem ?

Look for swelling on the rubber brake lines also
