I'm in Lakeland also.

I just spent a week riding in Ocala National forest. It's completely awesome and well worth the trip. BIG SCRUB is the campground. There's sooooo many miles of trails. It's well worth the two hour ride.  You could ride for days and not see the entire place.

I'm sure you know about croom which is good.

Also, there's a motorcross track in Bartow just south of Hwy 60.

I've never ridden out at the Mud Ranch, how is it?

I have not heard of any places to ride in Aburndale.

If you can find out a general vicinity or some landmarks, I'll check it out. I live in Lakeland, right next to Aburndale.

I am new to atv's and I am looking for a place to ride in polk county. I am kinda nervous about riding in not so legal areas such as poinciana(or is there a good place to go there?). Does anyone have any info on places that I can ride a ute i dont like fast riding and I dont care if its not the most legal place as long as its a popular place people ride alot and the cops dont show up much. My uncle told me about a place out on 559 right before I-4 turn right onto the road that heads back to haines city and theres a pit or somethin on the right, anyone know what this is?

Legal places close to Winter Haven for utility atvs to ride and approximate drive time.

International Drive/Sea World - 1/2 hour
River Ranch - Other Side of Lake Whales - 45 Minutes
Big Scrub - Ocala National Forest -1hr 45 minutes
Croom - Brooksville - 1 hr.

Give those a shot.

I may go out there Wednesday or Thursday if I don't go to Croom.

What time do you want to ride?

I'm flexible, I usually can break out any time.

Let me know, I'm suppose to close on some River Ranch property this week. (It keeps getting pushed back).

Once I close though, I'll get you in out there if you want.
