Title: Croom?
Post by: jayman on March 15, 2007, 08:54:37 PM
Has any one ever camped there?  If so i need your help.  I am planing on being there tomorrow around 4 pm and wanted to know if I would be able to get my 39' fifth wheel in there.  It is actually 42' long and about 13' tall. Please keep in mind that I will need room to make turns, back up, turn around etc.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Also are you allowed to have camp fires there?

I was just there last weekend camping & riding, I saw some huge RV's in there.
I think you have planety of room and the camp sites are huge. Each spot has a fire pit for the camp fire.
We camped right across from the rest rooms on the left side of the camp grounds. (Hot water showers)
Also the camp site cost is 15$ a night. Water spickets are available at each camp site as well.

Can you possibly reserve the site a few hours ahead of time, maybe with a credit card?  A friend is supposed to be there earlier than me and he said he would try to hold a site for me.  Is that possible?

Hey Jayman, don't give up, If you get there about 11 or so I am sure there will be some people who stayed a few days ahead of you that are packing up and leaving, not everyone camps all week long.
The old guy on the phone if he is the same dude as soon as I mentioned I was going to 4 wheeln and wanted to camp his tone completely changed as if he was anti riders or something. We went anyway and like I said there were plenty of spots.
Well have fun where ever you go...ttyl

Can you reserve sites at Delancy?  I have never been there but would like to take my RV up there.

No you can not reserve.  I will say that every time I have been there I have never been turned away.  There is always somewhere to set up.
