Strange News Photos The Post Office has stopped delivery to 30 homes in Vero Lake Estates because teenagers on ATVs were playing chicken with mail carriers. Vero Beach Postmaster Rick Hankins said the routes won't resume until the problem is solved. Besides riding their ATVs at postal vehicles and turning off at the last second, Hankins said teenagers also were surrounding and shouting at carriers. Indian River County Sheriff Roy Raymond said he's working on the problem. He said deputies will arrest anyone riding an ATV on the public road. A letter sent to residents the day before mail delivery stopped said they should move their mailboxes to a paved road several blocks from their homes. Hankins said residents can also pick up mail at the post office. Title: Re: not good for our image!!!!!
