Title: Stroker Motor Issues
Post by: HOWIE on March 07, 2007, 09:14:31 PM
Firend of mine has a Banshee. It's stroked +5 and bored. It keeps blowing rods on the same side. It has a 2 in 1 carb so it can't be running rich or lean to either side. Any advise as to what this could be? Thanks

Could the crank be out of balance?

Bending or breaking rods, smoking the bearings, big end or little end?

unbalance crank, piston sticking, piston slapping and hanging up, etc.  might want to check to make sure bore size and piston size are matched up correctly.  have the crank welded and trued and balanced.  if cylinders gouged, clean them up, match the pistons and roll on.
