Title: Croom Post by: dj_pizzim on February 13, 2007, 10:56:33 AM I only have some of the info so maybe others on here and further explain. This is a reminder why is it important to ride with at least one other person and to remember to keep an eye to be sure that person is still following you.
Saturday Night (before sundown) A rider was separated from his friend and wrecked his dirt bike breaking his leg, I believe this happened at around 5:30 6:00 after a few people went looking for him the Ranger was advised of the missing rider. as the sun set and it got dark a few groups of people went out looking for the lost rider to no avail. At around 9:00 the helicopter was out using infrared to try to find the lost rider but that also did no good. He was found the next morning at i believe 7:00 7:30 i believe with no shirt only a chest protector and a broken leg. I don't know about the other members of this site but i wouldn't want to spend the night out on the edge of a trail all night with the temps in the 40's just a reminder to be safe and ride in groups. Title: Re: Croom Post by: jujulo700R on February 13, 2007, 08:56:51 PM I ride out there somtimes by myself as well. When I ride out there by myself, I always make sure to carry a cell phone just in case. I can get cell service anywhere in Croom and hopefully I will not have to use it for such a reason. That would definitely freak me out.
